I ask this question annually in de TN sub; What did you accomplish despite having so much pain?

It can be something small like brushing your teeth to something big like raising children!

I’ll go first: I still manage to stay afloat financially, fully supported by my artwork (self employed for 10 years, Trigeminal Neuralgia —suicide pain— since 4).

What did you accomplishment despite having TN?

I asked this question a few years ago and it resulted in some positivity on the sub. This is probably the only place on earth where you won’t have to explain what you’re going through and how hard it can be to get through the day. So please share with us your incredible accomplishment, it could be; washing your hair, brushing your teeth, getting your kids ready for school, surviving MVD, finishing your studies etc etc.

I’ll start; I completed half (45k words) of my first draft for the novel I am writing.

I thought “A good person” was really dull

Is there anyone else that didn’t love it? The writing was fine I guess but the story and characters and just everything that happened (that felt like nothing). IDK I just found myself not caring for anything that happened in this book. There was a story line that could have turned everything around (her sleeping over at the other woman’s place) but that went nowhere and felt flat.

I know I shouldn’t but I want to get my teeth pulled.

have ATN in all 3 branches on right side. one of the pain patterns is the absolutely crushing ROTTING sensation of my wisdomtooth and molars (literally only on my right even tho I have still have them on the left too). I keep my teeth super clean, never had any comments on the quality of them by the dentist, went to a jawcentre for TMD, got pictures taken and they never mentioned anything about the teeth either.

Please convince me not to do it, I’m scared it’s gonna make everything worse and do more damage. And I also kinda know it’s the TN. But they feel so ROTTEN. But then they won’t hurt for days and then BAM.

My review of Ketamine IV (till now)

Will try to keep it short and clear.
-Trigeminal neuralgia with both short episode as 24/7 ones. In v1, v2, v3 on right side since 2022
-Baseline is a 6 out of 10 on painscale, fluctuates through the day the more I speak, chew, smile, etc etc. I have a 10’s almost every week and 7-8’s everyday.
-2700mg gabapentin per day, 30mg amitryptiline per night.

I have had 3 rounds of ketamine IV. Every 3 months I get on the machine for 5 hours. It’s nice to trip and have a break of the dread of this disease. And I’ve had quite good results except for last time. Hopefully next time is great.

PROS:
-if you have a good day, you will be painfree the whole trip.
-you get to trip.
-the ketamine works for 8 weeks (for me) which means, the baseline is maintained but rarely peaking or way less throughout the day.
-it let me do mundane things like having my hair up and sleeping on my tn side for example.
-takes a week to fully kick in but definitely on of the best short term treatment till now.

CONS:
-if you have a bad day, you will be flaring up during the ketamine treatment (talking about the atypical TN mostly). One of the runs was like this but the weeks after were a bliss.
-you trip, and if you haven’t used recreational before it can be a lot. Plus nausea.
-the last trip itself was incredible I was painfree for 4 hours for the first time in 3,5 years. Like baseline a 2. But when the machine turned of it was like my nervous system rebooted and it send off the wrong way. 10/0 attack, had to stay another 4 hours and got Clonidine.
-The last round didn’t preform well so I was super dissapointed by that.

I put a funny photo of me high af for you to laugh at.

Working on a book that would fit into this category, would you read from a self published?

Hi everyone!

Love this sub! Currently reading “A good person”because of it. Due to some life changing events I started writing, and it turned out I had a whole book in me. It definitely fits into this genre. Would you read a self published book if I don’t manage to get it published? Or rather, what draws you in to read something or decide it’s WGL?

Season 11 Lala and Sandoval

Why is she being so creepy and needy almost, like why is she being so kind to him and making this situation about her? Like she’s betraying a girlfriend to be friends with this dude she wasn’t even close with who is also the perpetrator. Or maybe they’re not as close as they make us believe (Lala and Ariana).

Anyway is Lala trying to bang Sandoval?

Dear Lena,

Initially, I wanted to open this message explaining how much your work means to me. And after reading Famesick, how much you mean to me. But yesterday, as I was scrolling through Instagram, I saw this video: a guy explaining to his followers how his own head is now narrating his life in your voice after listening to your audiobook. You are the voice of a generation indeed.

Relating to your work on Girls and your first book was so easy. The awkward sex, the rejection, the confusion, the urge to become something great, misunderstanding friendships, the misconception of your own unique experiences, ill-fitting clothes, greasy hair, and parents just doing their best.
Eagerly waiting for Famesick to come out, I started wondering how I was ever going to relate to the rest of your story. The story of a famous lady who has been under scrutiny, but also praised by many; who can live wherever she pleases, dates a Brit, and lives comfortably in London; who has skin like the porcelain doll with black bangs and a bob that I used to carry around with me as a kid; and, let’s not forget, who is friends with Taylor Swift.

The undeniable urge to create, but a body that refuses you any function. The absence of diagnosis or comparable cases, the fear, our beds in which we lie but have never felt emptier, the isolation, and the mental dread that constantly floats above us. And let’s not forget the pain.
I have a rare condition called Trigeminal Neuralgia. I am also lucky enough to have an atypical version. It’s also referred to as “suicide pain,” since the face pain episodes, which often last for days on end, are unbearable. It’s triggered by mundane things like the light breeze that refreshes you on a spring day, a strand of hair poking your cheek, chewing, smiling, talking, brushing your teeth, putting on makeup, kissing, drinking, and sometimes even the stream of breath that caresses the skin beneath my nose. I live in pain every day. And on the worst days, all I can do is sit up and try to ignore the rotting feeling and zaps in my teeth; the pain in my jaw, like it’s been ripped off and put back in place by a giant; the imploding pressure in my temple; the long, sharp pain in my eye socket; the deep ache draped over the right side of my skull; and the knife stabs catching me off guard as I’m trying not to chew my soft food. I will stare at a wall and visualise that there are tiny men scrubbing my nerves clean, revealing their perfect golden structure, and releasing me from this nightmare.

My medication puts me in hospital feeling. constantly detached, or, as it’s often referred to; derealisation. I often feel like the people around me are actors seated in front of a backdrop and I am watching my arms like I’m in a POV open-world game. I hold cups of tea against the right side of my face wherever I can obtain one, just like you’d lie next to any heater you could find.
I wanted to point out how out of luck I have been, although that’s a bit weird right now since I just found a fully functioning Mac Pro in the trash.
Anyway, what I am trying to say is thank you. I have never felt more seen by a piece of media than I have by your book. I want you to know that it fills me with joy to read that, in spite of yourself and your body, you did it. You’ve created another unprecedentedly important piece of work. At least to me, you have. And as a chronically ill artist myself, it gives me the strength and belief that we are not defined by our illness and that we still matter, if not more than ever.
I have always loved you, and always will, just like many others. I hope the love we have for you weighs more than all the hate you have received.

Would love second time MVD stories

ATN and TN ON RIGHT SIDE ALL BRANCHES.
Had some relief after first MVD. Never fully pain free, have been in pain for 3,5 years straight. I had relief and tapered down for 6 months after the surgery. Then a massive attack send me back in hospital. Surgery has been 2 years ago now. I want to take out the teflon because that can sometimes cause compression again hence the pain returning. My neuro surgeon has done this successfully before and has witnessed this pattern before.
My first MVD put me in absolute shock and I had a really hard time recovering. I even had to get EMDR because I had mild ptsd from it. Hopefully this time will be easier.
Would you mind sharing your story with me? All the second timers?

Thank you 🤍

I cringe when

Lala says “My man”, Tom Sandoval (with popping veins in his neck) says “Are you fucking kidding me?!” And when Jax says “Verbatim”. Oh and just in general anything Tom Schwartz does.
EDIT: when Ariana rolls her eyes and clicks her gums before or after she says something mean hahahahaha.
