‘86 SR500

Kept the original drivetrain but updated a few parts (carbon drop bars and seat post, new brake levers, etc) to lighten and subtly modernize.

Heiland Sol/Minicam Flash Gun Saber

My first custom saber, unless you count an ANH Graflex built about a decade ago. Parts are a mix of Heiland Sol and Minicam flash guns, as well as some hardware store parts (namely the “clamp” type piece with the 4 screws in it, which is a 1 1/4” EMT coupler from Lowe’s) Additionally, i used a few 3D printed parts that I designed (the black conical rings on each end of the thinner throat section). I also had some leftover book cover faux leather which I used to fill in some areas on the hardware store clamp piece. The green electronics board is from a vintage Texas Instruments calculator, and I kept the logo as I thought it was a fun reference to the OG saber’s TI calculator bubble strip.

Help ID’ing this 86’ Cannondale?

I know based on the serial number what size and date of manufacture it is, and I tried cross referencing with the catalog via the vintagecannondale site but honestly I don’t know enough about what I’m looking at to be able to tell the difference between each model in the catalog. I’m thinking it’s an SR600 but maybe a 400?? Some of the parts like the tires and things have been swapped out so I’m not sure. Also I don’t see a white bike with black lettering listed in the catalog at all so I’m at a loss.

Any help is appreciated!
