They turned out good. 200f for 6 hours then cranked up to 300f and sauced. No wrap. Spritzed every 45 min after 2 hours. Sweet money rub.
I cooked a ribeye last week and I could not believe how delicious it turned out. It was the best I’ve cooked. I wanted to see if it was luck or a fluke. Round II was successful. First was a little better but not by much. Pic 1 & 2 are last week. Pic 3 & 4 are today.
I purchased a new recteq bull’s-eye 380 B.d. and have been cooking up some good chicken and ribs. First attempt at a ribeye. Very happy.
I have a new recteq bullseye bd and I have been seeing guys put cast iron grates on theirs. Is this really an upgrade? It’s more maintenance and I’m curious if it actually makes the food taste any better? I understand you can get better grill marks. Does that translate into better tasting food? Burgers steaks chicken etc? Or does it just look better? lol. I have always used stainless steel. Just curious of real world experience with both.
I have had great results so far. The wife said these were the best thighs I’ve ever made. I have made a lot of them. Always been a Weber kettle / Weber Summit kamado guy. But yeah it’s so much easier to just set it and walk away.
Goal of 500,000 achievable? Sorry for crappy pic. Hard to get a clear pic while driving.
This pan looked perfect. Used it and washed it. After I put a thin layer of oil and put on the burner to let it cook onto the pan. Now there is a layer on top of the pan that isn’t smooth. See pics. How can I get it back to perfect? lol
Had a few folks over to swim. Wings turned out pretty tasty.
Had a handful of family come over to hang by the pool. Kept it simple. Definitely some of the best chicken legs I’ve made. Coming from Weber summit kamado. Looking forward to more cooks.
95k miles
New motor at 80k for recall.
She ain’t perfect but she sure is pretty.
Hoping for another 150k before I put out to graze.
Some days I just remember how blessed I am to have her.
Wife wanted chicken. No problemo. Knicks getting. Killed, but at least I ate good.
So I have been looking at possibly getting a new stainless steel grill great and it seems that some 26 inch kettles use a different version because they’re older in are called a flat top. Is this a flat top?
I am always on FB marketplace looking for one of these lol.. I don’t need it as I have a WSK and a Genesis.. something about a 26”
Brother in laws birthday and I made him some poppers to go with my sisters flank steak!
