Not impressed

I’ve been going to Chick-fil-A for years

Every time I drive by one I see it always just slammed and busy, I am never sure what all the hype is anymore and how they still retain their popularity, I just went and I got their chicken tenders and fries and was not happy with how it tasted. It was all cold and it was 90% crisp and only 10% chicken, years ago CFA used to really give you a good amount of chicken in one bite, but not anymore, people are just wasting their money, I feel like I have made chicken sandwiches on that tasted by far better than CFA it seems the quality has really gone downhill in the last few years. Anybody else feel this way?

Need advice

I was wondering if anyone has dealt with something similar and could offer some advice.
Ever since I was 17, I’ve worked in restaurants, starting at Chick-fil-A. No matter where I go, I seem to end up on dishes. Whenever I try to learn a new position, I have to ask questions more than once to fully understand things. It feels like people lose patience quickly, and instead of helping me learn, they move me back to the same role.
I’m now 38 and working at a diner, and I’m running into the same problem. Nobody really rotates positions, and it feels like you’re expected to be perfect right away. Making mistakes while learning doesn’t seem to be acceptable anymore.
I have a back condition involving disc degeneration, but I still show up and do my best every day. Lately I’ve been wondering if I should leave the restaurant industry altogether, but I’m worried about starting over and how it would affect my work history. You would think you would come across people that would help you succeed and not let you just fail, but that’s next to impossible.

Has anyone else experienced this? How did you break out of being stuck in the same position year after year? Any advice would be appreciated.

▲ 2 r/uber

Hello, I have a question for you

I tried to get an Uber for my dad

Reserved a ride for a certain time

And it said it was reserved

All of a sudden, 10 minutes later thinking I had it reserved. I saw a green button it said “confirm”

So when I tapped it it said your ride has been confirmed and then it suddenly said it was seven minutes away and then I said to my dad well I don’t know why it’s trying to say it seven minutes away when I had a time reserved

So then the guy that came earlier, went ahead and picked my dad up, and then all of a sudden I look up inside notification that the other guy that was supposed to come at the time I chose was only five minutes away so that I quickly canceled him.

Why did that have to happen? Was that a glitch in Uber and why does it seem like the Uber app is such a mess?

▲ 33 r/Indiana

So I live in a rather busy neighborhood, and here in Indiana it seems like people just mow their yards when they don’t even need mowed and then all you hear outside is just a symphony of weed eaters, and lawnmowers, and it goes on from about 9 AM all the way till dusk and you often hear seven people at once mowing, sometimes even after. And when you have tinnitus it just sounds like a bunch of screeching in your ear, you would think that eventually everybody would have everything mowed and then it would stop but you can’t get one peaceful day nothing beats being out in the country areas where there’s not a lot people because you can actually think, and take peaceful walks, but if you want that in the city area, forget it when you have tinnitus is there an easy solution or a fix so it’s not sounding like it’s just grinding in your ears?
