Best Camping Spot Near Thunder Bay for Students With No Camping Gear?

Hi everyone, We are 5-7 students living in Thunder Bay and we’re planning a camping trip for 2 nights (Friday and Saturday). We don’t want a hotel, cabin, or Airbnb. We want a real camping experience with tents, campfires, BBQ, fishing, beach activities, football, swimming, and just hanging out outdoors. The problem is that none of us own camping gear. We’re looking for a budget-friendly place where we can either rent gear or where camping equipment is available nearby. We’d love a location with:

Beach access
Fishing
BBQ/fire pits
Space for games like football
Student-friendly prices

We are considering places around Thunder Bay such as Sleeping Giant, Chippewa Park, or anywhere else people would recommend.

Does anyone have suggestions on where we should go? Also, are there any places that rent camping gear locally?
Thanks in advance!

Need advice – lost key for US-import 2012 Honda Civic in Canada

I’m in Thunder Bay, Ontario and I lost the original remote key for my 2012 Honda Civic EX. I had another spare key fob, changed the battery, and the red light comes on, but it doesn’t unlock or start the car.

Important detail: even the original key never fit into the driver door manually. I always used the remote buttons only.

I went to a locksmith and then Honda dealership. Honda told me my VIN is a US-manufactured VIN and they cannot access the key cutting code from the Canadian system. They suggested replacing ignition and door locks which may cost around $1000.

Has anyone dealt with this before? Any automotive locksmiths or US Honda dealers that can help with a US VIN key code or make a key directly from ignition?

Need help with Honda Civic key/locksmith in Thunder Bay

I lost the original remote key for my 2012 Honda Civic EX. I have another key fob and changed the battery. The red light comes on when I press the buttons, but it doesn’t unlock the car.

Also, even the original key never fit into the driver door manually. I always used the lock/unlock buttons only. The seller told me this spare key probably needs to be cut and programmed by a locksmith.

Does anyone know a good and affordable mobile locksmith in Thunder Bay who can unlock and program Honda keys?
