Jaguar build

Showing off the most recent build, modded out squier CV jag.

Put a mint Pickguard on it cause I didn’t like the “basicness” of the tort, new chrome knobs, and swapped out the 1mg pots for 250k in tone and 500k in volume.

Replaced the traditional switching system with a 3 way selector, rewired the original neck pickup switch to be a series/parallel switch, and kept the strangle. It’s sweet, so much easier to navigate in a live setting and opens up a lot more tonal variety. When the parallel switch is engaged, the rhythm circuit acts as a kill switch too.

Pretty happy with this one, debating on tossing in some Jaguar P90s in the future.

Looking for good Jaguar pickups

Sup fellas. Hopping in here to see if anyone knows of Canadian local pickup makers or shops that ship to Canada for a relatively reasonable price. Really trying to not spend 250+ on pickups. It’d be cool to find a p90 style jag pickup, but I am also down to stay true to the jag sound and get traditional jag pickups. Let me know!

My “Partscaster” Duo Sonic Mustang

I’m finally finished my parts guitar. What started as a squier duo sonic mustang has evolved into this. The only thing stock is the bridge and the metallic control plate. This guy has been a great mod platform for me, I’ve been wanting to get into the comfortability of modifying my guitars and this one has definitely helped me learn a lot of new skills. Wiring, shielding, soldering, messing around with truss rods and shimming necks, it’s been a blast! I say I’m done modding her out, but I kind of want to learn ho to route properly = installing a Mustang trem system. If anyone’s got experience routing gimme a shout! That one I’ll have to work up to, but for now this is the “finished” product.
