Wisdom tooth rupture or Pericoronitis?

(21F) Getting my wisdom teeth removed in about a week, but the back part of my cheek started last hurting last Friday. There's these white spots in that area with a small hole/pit in the centre. I'm mostly having trouble biting down/chewing food. It feels kind of swollen? Like sometimes I'd accidentally bite down on it and it hurts

Does this look like an infection?

Does this look like my wisdom tooth ruptured or is this an infection?

I'm (21F) supposed to get my both of my bottom wisdom teeth removed in less than 2 weeks. Just last week I actually had a consultation with dentist who will be performing the extraction, but a couple days ago on Friday, the back of my right mouth cheek has become really tender.

I did do some x-rays during the consultation and I can't remember which side, but one of the wisdom tooth is growing literally horizontally against my normal back teeth. So I'm not sure if it is the horizontal wisdom tooth growing on my right side.

It kind of looks like theres a small socket with a bit of white on the wall of gum/cheek when I'm looking with my flashlight. It's very tender and I've been having trouble eating/chewing/moving my jaw/mouth.

I have to be really careful with how I'm biting because there have been a few times where I'm talking or eating and I accidentally bite down onto that area and it feels like when you would accidentally bite down on the inside of your cheek. It also feels like it sticks out, so it has been very easy for me to hurt myself.

I also accidentally woke myself up because of the pain from my teeth grinding while sleeping + the pain from this area. It's especially tender with any touching or even if that spot gently brushes against my teeth.

Should I take a trip to the dentist tomorrow or is this normal & I should way till my wisdom teeth extraction appointment which is just over a week?

Trying to file my nails into an almond/oval shaped, but don't know what I'm doing wrong (plz help)!!!

Nail file I'm using:

  • Mont Bleu Premium Glass Nail File (from Amazon)

Hi all, I've always wanted to have my nails somewhere between an almond shape & oval shape. I just don't understand what I'm doing wrong since they never end up looking the shape I want them to be and they also don't look uneven 😖🥲

I've included some Inspo pics at the very end.

Some things I'm struggling with:

  1. Accidentally over-filing my nails & they still turn out uneven
  2. My left hand middle finger looks way different compared to my right middle finger??? (I don't know how to fix it)
  3. The nails on both hands of my ring fingers grow way faster than all my other nails + they're always so squared shape for some reason

Any tips for a beginner who wants almond/oval shaped nails? Thanks!!!

Has anyone actually used their student care insurance to go see a physiotherapist or a mental health practitioner?

I was wondering how much it actually costed, if you had to pay out of pocket for anything, and how many sessions ended up being covered by the student health network.

I was also wondering how much more did the plan cover if you went to one of the places that's under the StudentCare Network (on the website where you could search up places that are under their network for additional coverage)

I checked their website and it says:

>> Physiotherapists - Maximum of $35 per visit and up to $400 per policy year
>> Mental Health Practitioners - 90% coverage, to a maximum of $750 per policy year

I want to see how your experiences have been with using this insurance plan and how it actually plays out in real life situations (cost-wise).

I'm trying to make use of the student insurance plan since I've been mostly using it for dental, vision, and prescription medication costs lol
