Pristiq to Zoloft to Effexor anyone?

Hi all! I have been on quite the journey the last two years to find the right medicine for me after my trusty Celexa stopped working (took successfully for 12 years). My most recent experience was Pristiq from October to about May and had some good success in the beginning but then something was a bit off and I wasn’t feeling it. So we switched to Zoloft and per my genesite test, I would need higher doses of it but I’ve had awful back pain, neck pain etc on it. I am well aware of the difficulties to come off of Effexor but has anyone gone this route? I obviously don’t plan to come off the Effexor for some time if it’s helping but just wanted to see opinions. I have my psych follow up tomorrow.

Holy back and neck pain!

Someone tell me they’ve experienced the same thing? I’ve been on Zoloft probably close to 3 months now and I just increased to 200mg about 3 weeks ago (genesite test said I’d need higher doses) and the only correlation between the back pain I’ve been having and the timeline is starting Zoloft. I don’t know if I can handle this. The pain far outweighs any benefits I’m getting. Help!

Headaches???

Hey all! I started on sertraline at the end of April and tapered off of Pristiq. I feel like I’ve had a headache since the day I started on sertraline. I have increased up to 200mg as my genesight test shows I needed higher doses but has anyone had what seems like a non stop headache? I drink lots of water, minimum of 50-80 ounces a day.
I’m sick of taking ibuprofen!

Is 200mg your sweet spot?

Hi all! Just came to see who takes 200mg? I have been on Zoloft about 10 weeks now, maybe 11 and I quickly increased from 50 to 100 and then 150 and I’ve been on 150 for about 7 weeks now. Had my follow appt today and she increased it to 200mg. My genesite test showed this one as one that I metabolize quickly so higher doses are needed. Just wanted any feedback on your experience with 200mg.

Thanks!!

Anyone’s pain mostly in the morning?

Hi all!
I’m scheduled for an abdominal ultrasound next Wednesday the 10th to check my gallbladder and liver and such. I’ve been having upper right quadrant pain but it’s odd because the pain for my starts in the morning before I’ve even eaten anything. I haven’t had much correlation with eating to feeling worse pain which I know is most common but I also have back pain on my right side. I’ve read some weird symptoms from this sub so wondering if anyone’s experienced the same?

Newbie here, possible gallbladder issue

Hi all! Trying to nail down some symptoms I’ve been having the last several weeks and thought I’d pop in here to get some experiences or opinions. Back in October I was having some abdominal pain under my ribs on both sides so my primary care ordered an abdominal US. Saw my gallbladder all was a teeny bit thickened but nothing of concern and then fatty liver. I was diagnosed with a DVT blood clot back in July and since then I’ve lost about 35 pounds. I came off the blood thinners I was on and just a couple weeks later came down with pneumonia (Feb 2026) that seemed to take forever to resolve but the last 4 or 5 weeks I’ve had pain in my upper/middle back on the right side and the last week, upper right abdominal pain that comes and goes. I also feel like I can’t breathe sometimes and that’s sent me to the ER twice to check for pulmonary embolism. I thought maybe it was my heart but now I’m reading through a lot of the posts here and wondering if it’s my gallbladder.
I plan to reach out to my doctor this week but wanted to see others experiences and opinions.
Thanks in advance all!

I have been on pristiq for 6 months and while it helped a bit in the first few months, I’ve realized it’s not the one for me but I just wanted to see if anyone has experienced and back and/or chest pain from this med?
I’m cross tapering just started this week to Zoloft. But the back and chest pain has been here a while

Hi all!

Just wanted to see if anyone had come from Pristiq to Zoloft at all? I have been on Pristiq about 6 months and it’s just not the one for me. I took Zoloft while I was pregnant with my daughter about 7 years ago so I don’t really remember it much. I’ll be cross tapering and I have Klonopin to help with the transition. Any words of advice?
