I'm really kicking myself for not reading the manual on my LG gas range before tossing everything in the dishwasher. I remembered the grates being dishwasher safe, and I stupidly thought the burners were too. Are they still safe to use, or do I need to order replacement parts? They are dramatically discolored from how they should be, with white specks I can't seem to scrub off in some places.

I have to punch a lot of holes and do not want to do it via a mallet. Has anyone found a press that will either grip it or has a flat top with enough clearance to balance it underneath and punch down? It needs a 6" clearance minimum to fit the punch, board, and sample piece.

Tool is a 25mm, 5.5 inch long osborne arch punch.
