Quick visual update from my 2D motorcycle racing game inspired by 90s arcade classics like Road Rash.

I’ve been working on the canyon track, road details, speed effects, and a more arcade-style HUD. Still early in development, but the goal is to make the game feel fast, intense, and fun while keeping its own identity.

What do you think of this new look?

I’m making a 2D arcade motorcycle racing game inspired by Road Rash — would you play it?

I grew up playing Road Rash.

The Sega Genesis version had that incredible arcade soul, and the 3DO version had that visual impact and the feeling of actually racing on a dangerous road.

I always wanted to see this kind of game return in a modern version faithful to the classics.

But since a modern 2D spiritual successor with fantastic gameplay never really happened, I decided to create my own.

I’m developing a game inspired by those classics, with a more polished visual style, retro spirit, and fully 2D gameplay.

This screenshot is from the current gameplay build.

So, honest question:
Would you play a game like this?
