Take That documentary

I'm watching the Take That documentary. Very interesting.

I've watched two episodes so far. There's only one left. I don't really understand why they give us a voiceover of the members instead of a video narration.

The funniest thing is that Gary Barlow genuinely thought he'd become a successful solo star. Although it was always clear to me that he was simply boring and uninteresting to become a star. He just wasn't handsome or charismatic enough. He pushed himself to the forefront in the band's videos and songs.

And it's still unclear why they broke up. They were successful as a foursome anyway. But Gary apparently always intended to go solo and said they should all split up.

Then he sat there and watched as no one was interested in him. It was epic. Even though the other two, who didn't sing, knew perfectly well that this was the end and they wouldn't succeed.

In boy band documentaries, it's always the non-singers who wanted to keep going. And the lead singers "got tired" and broke up.

I didn't know Gary was so depressed by his failure that he hid for six years and gained weight. But I wonder—how did he survive if he didn't work for six years? Where did he get money? We weren't shown how they met their wives and started a family.

It was always clear that Gary had an inflated opinion of his talent and writing. Although his songs were boring and about nothing. Take That only had two real hits: "Babe" and "Back for Good".

Ukrainian tennis player Marta Kostyuk talked about the photo of shorts her team took after winning the WTA 1000 final in Madrid.

"We have a laundry room at tournaments, and sometimes things get mixed up. We might get someone else's socks or something else—stuff like that happens all the time. Last year, we got these shorts, and they had 'lucky shorts' written on them. Sandra (Zanevska - ed.) said, 'I'm not giving them to anyone,' and kept them.

When I won matches last year, she brought them back every time. It became our lucky charm. We don't have many superstitions, and it all happened by chance." This year, she hadn't even planned to take them with her, but before her trip to Madrid, she stopped by her father's to pick them up and bring them here.

"We then joked that if I win the title, we should definitely take a photo with these shorts. I even told my husband to wear them over his trousers for the photo, but he didn't, but that's okay," Kostyuk said.
