Mariah Carey is one of the most active singers in like...whole 30 damn years.

I don't know what you guys think about it, but it's rare to see a person who continuously works for 30 years like Mariah (from 1990 to...I guess, at least 2019).

Let's think about this:

In the 90s...did I need to say more? She literally had no single year break.

Release of her debut album, then promotions, then making of Emotions, then promotions and we even have the release of MTV Unplugged, then making of Music Box, then promotions and first tour, then making of Merry Christmas WHILE still promoting, then promotions of both albums, then making of Daydream, then promotions, then the second tour, then the making of Butterfly, then the release and promotions with the thrid tour, then recording the #1's, then promotions WHILE recording Rainbow, then releasing and promoting with the fourth tour until 2000.

In the 00s, she's also active with only like...2007 as her break.

We have her signing new deal with Virgin, then the making of Glitter album COMBINED with the making of the film, then releasing it and it got overshadowed but still trying to promote, then getting kicked out by Virgin and signing with new company, then making and releasing Charmbracelet, then promoting with a whole damn 69-show tour spanning nearly a whole year, a small concert in December, then the making, releasing and promoting of TEOM with another year-spanning new tour, then...finally a rest! And then she came back with E=MC^2

In the 10s, she still decided not to give herself more than a year break due to pegnancy in 2011.

We have the making, releasing and promoting MOAIA with her first residency show in 2009 (not really 2010s but well...it's connected), AND THEN a tour in 2010, AND THEN making, releasing and promoting her second Christmas album WHILE pregnant (damn), then resting in 2011 before coming back again with many private concerts in 2012 WHILE making and recording Triumphant (Get 'Em), #Beautiful, and MIAM, and then she went on a tour at the beginning of 2013 in Australia to promote Triumphant (Get 'Em) after releasing it, AND THEN, she released and promoted #Beautiful before releasing and promoting MIAM with another freaking tour again, and then the start of Christmas residency shows at the end of 2014 that lasted until 2019, and then the making and release of #1 to Infinity, and then another freaking residency show in 2015 to 2017, while during that period, she had the Sweet Sweet Fantasy Tour and All the Hits tour. As if that wasn't enough, she had to make, release and promote Caution with another tour, before ending the decade with AIWFCIY rising to the top, and before Caution we had Mariah Carey: Live in Concert in 2018 (Asia) and The Butterfly Returns which lasted until early 2020...

Guys, so...well, are there any "shows" that we should keep an eye on?

Well...just like the title. The album is released. What apps should I need to keep an eye on to vote or stream for them?

Unpopular opinion: Lemon Tang is probably the (vocally) hardest song of H2H

It's kind of a stretch to say Lemon Tang is the ULTIMATE hardest song of H2H since they've just debuted. However, I believe that until now, this is the hardest song of H2H (even harder than Rude). Lemon Tang's highest note is E5, but Rude's an F#5. At first, it really contradicts to what I've mentioned before, right? F#5 is higher than E5, but why Rude is easier than Lemon Tang? Let me explain.

Even though RUDE has higher note, it's only just one single note, but Lemon Tang TRULY requires vocal stamina with multiple E5s attacking your cords.

Here's a breakdown of the song (in notes):

(I will use this link to showcase for timestamp: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=1VqxWNwgf5Q&list=RD1VqxWNwgf5Q&start_radio=1 )

0:54 - 0:56 Phrased high notes in 5th octave! (E5 - D5 - C#5 - D5)

1:09 - 1:11 Another phrased high notes in 5th octave! (it started at A4 - B4, but then went up to E5 as the highest)

1:40 - 1:42 Another phrased high notes in 5th octave (E5 - D5 - C#5 - D5)

1:55 - 1:57 Another phrased high notes in 5th octave! (it started at A4 - B4, but then went up to E5 as the highest)

2:36 - 2:39 Harmonized phrased high notes in 5th octave! (C5 - D5 - E5 - C5 - E5)

2:46 - 2:52/2:53 DAMN! Phrased E5s!!! - D5!! - sustained E5!!! - (about 1 second break at most) - another held E5!!! (shorter than the first one but the stamina is higher than the heavens above)

2:53/2:54 - 2:55 Another phrased high notes in 5th octave (E5 - D5 - C#5 - D5) to end the freaking song.

Considering H2H's vocal ability, this is impressive as hell! Lemon Tang is also the only song (until now) where I've seen H2H REALLY struggles (as seen in multiple encores and performances...).

Like...WHAT? Multiple phrased belts (yes all of the notes I've listed above are belted) in 5th octave!

To me, the only songs that I've listened to which can rival this vocal difficulty is Mariah Carey's songs (and considering H2H don't have Mariah's vocal ability, that's even more impressive that they still manage to somewhat sing it...).

About Daydream 30

Since the release of Daydream 30, and I was fascinated by the Rotterdam performance, which surprised me by how "Butterfly-ish" her voice was in the pro footage compared to the "voice-of-a-12-year-old-girl" fan-recorded one (which is, perhaps, I think due to room acoustics).

Despite that, I've seen a post and some YouTube comments talking about how "weird" the vocals (for example, the "vocal glitch" and "weirdly not-90s tone" in Melt Away) are in the writting session clips and the Rotterdam performance. It is even sparked controversy about whether Mariah has used AI or not. Apparently, there's a post whose relative (supposing an engineer based in AI development for a French university) said that the live songs from Rotterdam are 100% edited with AI, especially Always Be My Baby, and Melt Away session was badly edited. So...is there professional can confirm this to me?

Moreover, talking about the Daydream performance, I was actually surprised by how there aren't many Redditors (and from my search on Google, there seems to be none) talking about the "confusion" in Anytime You Need A Friend performance in London, 1996. It's still a mystery whether those are C#5-B4 (some said it's a C5) or...something higher like an F#5 or G5 (layered with its octave-higher overtone). (If you don't know about this, you can search with some keywords like "Anytime You Need A Friend London 1996") So...is there any professional, or if not, maybe listeners about what do you think she was singing? Personally, I hear a F#5/G5 (a half-sharp F#5) layered with a F#6/G6.

My take (and somewhat a question) on Kawoshin (and somewhat related to Reishin)

WARNING: I don't mean the ship name to be romantic.

(My English is not really advanced, so please forgive me for my wording)

I've watched somewhat of Rebuild, all the chapters involving Kaworu in manga, and of course, the 24th episode. After watching them (and also some analysis posts on this sub), it really makes me think whether Kaworu's feelings towards Shinji are "true" or...is it just the feeling to be Shinji's hero, as a way to "mimic" Rei's sacrifice in manga and NGE (all of them seem to be connected though). In manga, Kaworu seems to be "amazed" (or like...curious) about Rei's feelings towards Shinji, which makes me question if it's his "motive" to approach Shinji in other timelines. It raises a question to me: Is Kawoshin just a shadow of Reishin?

What's your take on this?

There are so many questions about EVANGELION (mostly NGE)...

  1. Kaworu probably has Adam's soul (as proven in The End of Evangelion, and I'm pretty sure EoE is in the same timeline with NGE) and a Lilin vessel. However, does that mean that we only need Kaworu's genetic code to create a vessel and then simply put Adam's soul inside the vessel in order to create "the 17th Angel"? Wouldn't that also mean SEELE could probably have multiple "17th Angels"? And since there are multiple 17th Angels, wouldn't that mean the Dead Sea Scrolls got broken?

  2. The descendants of Adam have S2 Engine (Fruit of Life), so wouldn't that mean the descendants of Lilith also have the Fruit of Knowledge? If so, then if an Angel got to merge with a human, wouldn't that mean it will also cause an impact? If only Lilith has the Fruit of Knowledge, then wouldn't it break the logic of "descendants of A have x, of B have y"? Humans are supposed to have Lilith's flesh, right?

  3. Evangelions (except Shinji's mom) are said to be clones of Adam. If those Evangelions don't have the soul inside them, could the Angels "reunite" with them like how they could reunite with original Adam? Similarly, if Rei, for some reason, managed to "kick out" Yui's soul tf out of Unit-01 and stay inside it, would that be counted as Lilith? Same for Kaworu with other Evangelions? Or maybe perhaps those Eva units don't have S2 Engine? Then, for example, if Kaworu got to unite with the Mass Produced Evas, would that also count as "reuniting with Adam", since the MPEs have S2 Engine?

  4. Angels (besides Kaworu) seem to have its own soul (considering that they also have their own AT Field), so...would that mean that it didn't need Adam's soul in order to merge? (based on the logic that angels can merge with Lilith to create the Third Impact) Would that mean Rei (with Lilith's body) can control the impact by her own? Similarly, would that mean in order to create an impact, Kaworu also doesn't need Rei's soul too, right? Would that also mean the MPEs could merge with Lilith if there's Kaworu soul inside them?

  5. If Kaworu got to control the impact, how would it have looked like? Since Kaworu loves Shinji, would Kaworu do what Rei (manga) have done or probably something else?
