Looking for free AI tools to create a "talking head" avatar for YouTube tutorials?

Hi everyone,

I’m currently setting up a YouTube channel where I plan to create instructional/tutorial videos. My goal is to have an AI avatar on screen that talks and makes gestures while I show what’s happening on my screen.

The workflow I have in mind is simple: input my script, and have the AI animate the avatar to speak it.

I am looking for recommendations for free (or "freemium" with a generous enough tier) tools that can pull this off. I want the quality to be decent enough for YouTube, but since I'm just starting out, I’m hoping to avoid high monthly costs.

Does anyone here have experience with specific platforms? Are there any hidden gems or tools I should look into? Also, any advice on what to look for when choosing one for this specific use case would be greatly appreciated!

Thanks in advance for your help!

Tired of manual scraping, so I built a quick B2B Email Extractor tool. Would love to know your thoughts.

Hey everyone,

I’ve been working on a side project recently to solve a personal frustration with lead generation and manual scraping, and I finally got it up and running today!

It’s a simple, web-based Email Finder & Deep Business Extractor.

How it works: Basically, you can drop a Google Maps export (or any custom CSV list) into the dropzone. The tool then automatically scans the company homepages and deep-scans their subpages live on the server to find corporate email addresses. If a website URL is missing but you have the company name and city, it even tries to auto-find the website first.

I decided to build it with a clean interface (and added a built-in feedback/contact form so users can easily request custom scraping features or report bugs).

I'm currently keeping it completely free to use. Before I start sharing the URL everywhere, I’d love to get some honest feedback from this community.

  • Does a tool like this solve a bottleneck in your workflow?
  • What extra features would make this a must-have for your lead gen?
  • Are there any specific platforms you currently struggle to scrape data from?

I’ve attached a screenshot of how the UI looks right now. If you're interested in testing it out or if you have some feedback based on the screenshot, please let me know in the comments! I'll gladly send you the link.

Thanks in advance for your time!

Reviving old channels: How does monetization work with these stats?

Hey everyone,

I want to start posting again and eventually monetize, but I’m working with two older, inactive channels and need some advice on where to focus.

Here are my current stats:

  • Channel 1: 523 subscribers (older, long-time inactive).
  • Channel 2: 83 subscribers, 37 Shorts views, 0 public watch hours (also inactive).

A few quick questions:

  1. Does inactivity hurt? Will YouTube penalize these older channels when I start uploading again, or should I use Channel 1 since it's already halfway to 1,000 subscribers?
  2. What are the exact current thresholds? What are the requirements for the lower tier (fan funding) vs. the full tier (ad revenue)?
  3. Do Shorts views count toward watch hours? Or do Shorts views only count toward the separate Shorts-specific milestone?

Would love to hear from anyone who has successfully revived an old channel. Thanks!

short video content

I’m curious where everyone here gets their inspiration and content ideas for social media / marketing 👀

I’m personally leaning a lot into AI tools and influencers, but it’s getting harder to find consistent, high-quality sources that actually work in practice.

So I’d love to ask:

  • Which influencers or creators do you follow for marketing/content inspiration?
  • Do you use AI tools for content ideas or post creation? If yes, which ones?
  • Where do you get your daily/weekly inspiration from (TikTok, Instagram, YouTube, Reddit, newsletters, tools)?
  • Any hidden gems, communities, or resources worth checking out?

Especially interested in real-world experiences and practical tips, not just generic “top 10 tools” lists.

Would be great to exchange ideas and discover new sources

help me make my home smart

I want to start building a smart home setup and I keep seeing good reviews about Homey. Honestly, it looks really clean and user friendly, but the price feels a bit high for me right now.
At this moment i do have:

- Eufy camera doorbell
- Philips hue lights
- Shelly 1PM mini relay switches

So I’m curious:

  • What smart home ecosystem are you using?
  • Any good alternatives to Homey?
  • What devices/brands are you using together?
  • How did you set up your automations?
  • Anything you would do differently if you started over?

I’d love to hear real experiences, beginner tips, budget-friendly setups, and maybe get some inspiration from how others built their smart homes

Which AI tool do you use?

Curious what AI tools everyone here is actually using daily for digital marketing

Especially interested in:

  • Free AI tools worth trying
  • What you use them for (content, ads, SEO, automation, research, design, etc.)
  • Your experience so far
  • Any paid tools that are genuinely worth the money

There are so many AI platforms popping up right now that it’s hard to know what’s hype and what’s actually useful.

Would be cool to learn from each other, discover new tools, and maybe even connect with people experimenting with AI in marketing

Best free tools to find B2B email addresses by industry and location?

Hi everyone,

I’m looking for a free (or generous free-tier) B2B lead generation tool to help me find business email addresses.

Specifically, I need something that allows me to filter my search by industry/niche and location (city/region), so I can target local businesses. For example, finding contact details for specific types of shops, agencies, or companies in a certain area.

I know Google Maps has all the locations and industries, but it rarely shows direct email addresses.

What are the best free tools, extensions, or scrapers currently available that can extract verified business emails based on these criteria? I'm looking for something with a decent amount of free credits to get started with small, targeted lists.

Any recommendations or workflows would be highly appreciated! Thanks!

Best free alternatives to GMass for small, personalized email campaigns?

Hi everyone,

I’m running a small business and currently trying to send out a personalized B2B outreach campaign to a small list of prospects (under 50 recipients).

I tried using GMass, which worked fine initially, but I quickly hit their strict limits for the free tier, and now I’m constantly getting hit with upgrade/paywall prompts. Since my lists are always very small, I really don't want to commit to a paid monthly subscription right now.

Ideally, I need a solution that:

  1. Can import email addresses from a spreadsheet.
  2. Sends the emails 1-by-1 through Gmail so recipients don't see each other (absolutely no BCC look).
  3. Is completely free for very low-volume campaigns.

Has anyone moved away from GMass for small-scale sending? What are your experiences, and what (free) workflows or tools are you currently using to get around this?

Would love to hear your recommendations. Thanks in advance!

Experience with cheap projectors for outdoor use?

Hey everyone,

I’m thinking about buying a budget projector (around €100 or less) to use mainly for watching football matches outside in the evening.

I don’t know much about projectors yet, so I’m curious about real user experiences.

I keep seeing a lot of these cheap mini projectors on AliExpress, which is why I started looking into them.

Has anyone here used these types of projectors for outdoor use?

  • What has your experience been like?
  • Are they actually usable for watching sports outside at night?
  • Any recommendations or models to avoid?

I’m not expecting high-end quality, just something decent for casual outdoor viewing.

Thanks in advance!
