GW2 expansions - worth it?

Dropping WoW (Midnight was fun, but I'm done with it and no interest in end-game) and picking up Guild Wars 2.

I played it at release for a few weeks, maybe 100 hours or so, but never really got that far despite it being a fun game.

Anyway I notice they have like six expansions, and I was wondering if they were worthwhile to get (or all-but-critical, even).

My only concern is they are all like 30 bucks and if I wanted them all it'd be like 100+ dollars.

Love the show, but what is up with Season 2?

Season 1 was amazing. So many great moments. Loved the dark humor, and the focus on the alien aspect.

Season 2 is...I don't know. I don't hate it, but at the same time it is a huge disappointment. They're focusing on the human component too much, and it seems like they sidelined the alien and conspiracy theory part of it.

Also at this point I think everyone already sort of knows what a threat Harry is to the world and they're just cool with it.

It just feels like they went too hard into drama and sentimentality territory, and it's not bad but it's too big of a departure from season 1.

Does anyone know what happened?

Knowledge Fight alternatives!

I almost said "replacements" but, honestly folks...who could really replace the magnificent Dan and Jordan and their show Knowledge Fight?

But, the fix of hearing about grifters, nut jobs, crazies, right-wing loonies must be satisfied so I am curious if anyone has recommendations.

I would ask that people just stick to the general themes we found in the show, those being analysis of a right-wing lunatic/villain, historical context, conspiracy theories, and well-researched presentation.

Right now the things I can recommend that scratch the same itch are:

  • The Dollop. Two comedians go over history. Pretty great!
  • Behind the Bastards. Host plus guest (and the wonderful producer Sophie!) pick a person from history and talk about how they ruined things for people.
  • God Awful Movies. Some folks review religious movies, often made by alt-right outlet and people, and give us their take on it.

Anyone have any other recommendations? I heard there was a good Qanon podcast that it's the same vein as KF but I forgot the name.

Fermented Hot Sauce - Cottage Food Business

Hi All.

So I was looking into starting a small cottage business of making hot sauce but apparently this is not allowed as regulators believe that fermented hot sauce (and other vegetables) pose a high risk of botulism and other food borne illness.

I was wondering if anyone has any experience with this, and to what degree local regulations come into play.

I live in California, for reference.

Just wondering if there is any hope or not rofl. Seems like nonsense to me because of the low pH and high salt content, plus I would pasteurize for shelf stability, but I'm not about to invest in a small business just to get in trouble.
