I'm currently getting my unrestricted motorcycle license and I'd like to buy a motorcycle soon.
I've got two in mind:
- Honda CB650R
- Kawasaki Z900
The Kawasaki would be about €600-900 more expensive, and I'm thinking I'd rather buy the Kawasaki and have the "better" bike right away, since the price difference isn't that significant.
My concern is that the Kawasaki might be too powerful for a beginner.
What do you think?

ich mache gerade meinen offenen Führerschein und ich möchte mir demnächst ein Motorad kaufen.
Ich habe zwei im Blick:
- Honda CB650R
- Kawasaki Z900
Die Kawasaki wäre ca 600-900€ teurer und ich denke mir dann lieber kaufe ich die Kawasaki und habe gleich die „bessere“ Maschine, da es preislich nicht ein großen Unterschied macht.
Meine Angst ist, dass es bei dir Kawasaki zu viel Leistung für den Anfang ist.

I’m considering buying a 2025 or 2026 model, and I’ve read that some people are having issues with a leaking water pump, causing a slight oil leak. Do all of you really have this problem? How serious is it actually? Would it be a reason not to buy the motorcycle?
