“First look” member and still items are sold without being listed

I’ve been scouring TRR every day for a piece by a micro brand. I’m nursing a bad bike injury so have definitely been on TRR more than what’s healthy or regular.

Nonetheless, I’ve noticed that items are being sold which are actually never listed even with my First Look membership. Anyone else experience this? Wtf…. TRR strikes again 🙄

Swiss unkind / unaware / unhelpful to injured and people with disabilities

Really struggling with this - I’ve lived in CH for 5 years. Recently sustained a pretty serious bike accident injury. I’m a young woman and have found that the Swiss are unbelievably unaware of someone with a disability. From holding the doors to almost be shoved over, it’s been a bit shocking. I’m not saying this is malicious and I’ve also noticed and read about here from other expats who are equally surprised that Swiss generally have no spatial awareness.

Would love to know people’s experiences. Also, while I’ve been injured many times in the US, and it’s always an important reminder about how society is shaped for able bodied people, really curious how people manage generally here? Literally had to yell at people to hold the door for me. There’s no default mode of just assisting someone when they’re struggling. Why? I don’t think my circumstances have been unique…. Or one offs.

Injuries?

Obviously this type of dancing is super high risk and the girls are performing arguably far too much.

I’m wondering why there isn’t more focus on strength training and treating them like professional athletes? Im sure they have to sign some liability waiver but still it’s 2026 and how many hip surgeries have alumnis had?

Two ACL reconstructions on L-Knee and Recently Tore ACL in R-Knee: Surgery Decisions HELP!

Hello -

I'm 38F and tore my right ACL last week in a bike accident. In my early 20s I was hit by a taxi in NYC (walking) and my left knee was completely blown out - ACL tear, meniscus, fractures etc. I had the patella graft it was fantastic until I went skiing during COVID and re-tore it because I didn't have gym access and the muscles strength decreased. Had a second surgery and it's fine but not as great as the patella.

Now, 5 years later, I've torn the right ACL in a freak bike accident and I'm totally besides myself. I'm finishing a PhD, have a 9-year old at home, and trying for a second child in addition to legal battles with our neighbors etc. My husband and I have had two years of hell with his mother having a heart attack and needing a lot of care.

I'm seeking advice from women (for anatomical reasons) who have delayed surgery or foregone surgery. I was much younger for my previous ACL surgeries and playing more sports. If I have surgery now this would be a huge disruption to our family planning. I'm deeply saddened and frustrated, especially since this was my "good" knee. Also, eager to hear from women that have hypermobility etc. I'm tall and thin and regardless of all my training, I have a really hard time gaining muscle mass which has led to these injuries.

*** I should note that its "just" an ACL tear. The meniscus and other ligaments are intact, although from reading a lot of posts on the r/ACL and here that this can cause possible long term damage to the other ligaments.

MCL - need advice. maybe grade III, waiting doctor

I’m hoping to get some advice while I wait for an MRI next week.

Two days ago I had a bicycle accident on my e-bike. The bike slipped on loose gravel and I instinctively put my right foot down to catch myself. My right knee twisted awkwardly and I immediately had severe pain.

I went to the ER the same day. X-rays were normal with no fracture. I was sent home with a hinged knee brace and crutches and told to follow up with orthopedics and obtain an MRI.
What is confusing me is that I have torn my ACL twice before, but both injuries were on my left knee and this feels completely different.

With my ACL injuries:
My entire knee swelled almost immediately.
The knee felt like it was “swimming” or loose inside. There was generalized instability.

This time:
The pain was initially concentrated on the inner side of the knee. The swelling was more delayed and increased overnight. I now have swelling throughout the knee and pain/tightness behind the knee when trying to fully extend it.
The knee feels like it wants to collapse inward when I put too much weight on it.
I cannot walk without crutches.
I cannot trust the knee without the brace because I am afraid it will give way.
Stairs are extremely difficult.

The strange thing is that the original medial pain has improved somewhat over the last 48 hours as the swelling has started to come down, and my range of motion is already a bit better than yesterday.

For those who have had MCL injuries, meniscus injuries, or combined injuries:

Did you completely lose the ability to walk initially?

Did your knee feel like it wanted to collapse inward?

Is there anything specific I should be doing while waiting for the MRI to give the injury the best chance to heal?

I know nobody can diagnose me over the internet, and I will be following up with my doctors. I’m mostly looking for experiences from people who have been through something similar while I wait for imaging.

Any way to get updates from TRR or secondary sites on new items from specific designers?

Maybe a silly question - but I'm looking for a ring from a jewelry designer. TRR only posts the designer occasionally but I'm forced to look on the site every day. I imagine this is ideal for them, but is there any secondary sites that I can use which give me hours of my life back? I have First Look now because I already lost out on a piece I wanted to buy from her....
