2009 BMW 328i (N51 engine).

I’m hearing a rhythmic click from the driver’s side of the engine bay while the engine is idling. The click happens about every 2 seconds and does not seem to match engine RPM.

The engine runs and idles normally. No noticeable loss of power, misfires, or rough idle.

Has anyone experienced a click like this on an N51/N52?

Any common locations I should check would be appreciated.

I’ll add a video and you guys can see where I shove my phone into lmao this is while idling too

EDIT: the car is up to temp and this is in the lower end of the car. The top end regarding lifters and rods are not making noise when I open the hood I can’t hear it but when I get near the drivers side i can hear it clearly
