X-Men '97 Director Explains What Went Wrong with Magik's Scene

So it turns out the drawn out death was because of an change in postproduction to "make it a moment", and the directors didn't like it because they knew it would "call out" how stupid it is she didn't teleport. Originally she was supposed to die offscreen- Colossus would only see a flash from a blast and realize what happened by finding her body. Honestly I don't think that off-screening her would've been any better
