[Question] iphone 14 no signal, what’s wrong with it?

I bought this super cheap iPhone 14, the reason it was so cheap (£40) was because the back glass and front LCD had both been changed and are currently cracked.

Also mainly, the phone wasn’t accepting a sim, for £40 i thought it was worth the gamble.

✅ Shows both IMEI
✅ Modem firmware present
✅ No SIM restrictions
✅ Detects SIM insertion
✅ Clean IMEI (not blacklisted as shown in the picture)

❌ doesn’t show any service, but detects the sim has been inserted and i can see the sim in the settings.
❌ 10 seconds after inserting the sim, the iphone displays a satellite symbol in the top right hand corner?

❌Unsure if related, but cannot connect to pc itunes or 3utools? but charges fine.

any ideas?

ANY HELP OR ADVICE IS MASSIVELY APPRECIATED THANK YOU.

iFixIt Kit

I’m ashamed to be saying this but i’ve been using the shitty kits from amazon for some time now doing iphone and basic electronic repair, and what happens is i use the driver a handful of times before either the tip strips, (where it just rounds off all the screw heads), or they lose their magnetism, which is super annoying when dealing with tiny iphone screws getting lost inbetween the mobo and battery.

sorry for the yap but, i received a £25 amazon voucher from family and i thought to put it to good use i’ll get some good drivers. is the i fix it kit any good? and will i experience the same problems with that kit? any advice and help is appreciated. thank you

still haven’t found a way too remove digitisers without summoning the glass demon. didn’t do too bad with this one in terms of messiness tbh.

hello everyone, i bought 3 iphone se 2nd generation and 3 iphone 8 for £120 all fmi off and some unlocked sim and some locked sim. all fully functional and good condition , (apart from one se and one 8 with a damaged back glass)

i was wondering if i can swap the iphone 8s battery with the se, as all the iphone 8 batteries are nearly 90% health.

would i get any unexpected non genuine part warnings? or any of the like?

and is £120 a good price for these or did i get scammed? any help is appreciated thank you all so much! :)

▲ 3 r/phonerepair+2 crossposts

so I recently did a frame/screen swap with an original Samsung part on an S 21 Ultra.

Everything is working fine, but there is no service at all. It’s still recognising the sim. but isn’t giving a signal

i even swapped it back to the old frame.

i’m guessing the coax flex?

HELP!!
