Copper coil period/bleeding

I had it inserted during a surgical abortion. I didn’t have a period for 2 months, then had the heaviest period I’ve ever had. The heaviness reduced after about 4-5 days, then for 4 weeks I was having a light period. My iron became so low I had to have an infusion.

I‘m now 5 weeks since that period started and my discharge is still a light brown colour. Now and then random bloody discharge. I presume I’m due on my next period anytime soon also.

Will this stop? Or should I get it removed?

Medication during luteal phase question

I’ve seen a lot of people talk about upping their dose of adhd medication before their period as they find it doesn’t work as well.

I’m on methylphenidate and I find I have to stop or dramatically decrease during that time otherwise it does the complete opposite and makes me EVEN MORE flat, numb, depressed and irritable.

Does anyone else get this?

Does anyone else get flat and numbness from medication?

I’ve been titrating Methylphenidate for around 3 months. It was really good at the beginning, mood boost, more enthusiastic etc. although I quickly found I was too sensitive for medium/high doses. Now I’m even finding low doses just make me feel irritable, tired but wired, anxious, struggle to concentrate and brain foggy.

It feels like there’s such a TINY line now between the perfect dose and too much. But that ”perfect” dose changes daily. I can’t keep up and it just feels wayyy too inconsistent.

Is this common? I’m finding it the same with instant release, Medikinet XL and Concerta.

How long are you guys waiting? NHS

I had my phone consultation with a gp about having my tubes removed about 5 months ago. She agreed to refer me. I had an email a few weeks ago asking if I still wish for the treatment which I said yes. According to my NHS app the referral was only done on the 26th of Jan 2026.

What has your waiting time been like?

I’m up to 30mg Medikinet XL with a 5mg top up. Its great when it’s working for the few hours, but then will follow with the crash of extreme tiredness and soo irritable, angry and snappy. It really lifts my mood also, but does the absolute complete opposite when it’s wearing off. And the headaches are awful!

I find higher doses way too intense, it’s like I need 5mg every 1.5 hours or something 😆.

I am also so fed up of eating protein every few hours to “help” the meds and drinking loads of water. It feels like it has to be so perfectly balanced to be worth it? Then I think I’ve cracked it, but a few days later will be totally differen. Has anyone else found this whole this also like this? 😪
