I made a mistake in my vac request post I said 4000sq ft but it’s actually 5,400sq ft. I have a Oceader spin mop and I use it for a 4,000sq ft home but it takes a hour and a toll on my neck. The 5,400 home has way more open floor space. And it’s hardwood floors, not the shiny kind. I don’t love flat mops but I’m thinking it might be my best bet. Rope mops need so much squeezing out and lugging around the big yellow bucket sucks. (I use them at my commercial cleaning job). I want to cover a lot of ground in less time, save my neck and back. But do flat mops actually clean that well? Do they pass the paper towel test? Will I have to have several covers and stop and switch them out 10x? Show me all the mops and tell me the pros and cons please and thank you!

Some time ago I asked if anyone else’s app didn’t let them zoom in on imagines on the Sephora app. I was not alone in my frustration. I was new to shopping at Sephora at the time and I have terrible eyesight. I do wear glasses but I still need to zoom to help me compare swatches. Happy to report as of today I can zoom in on arm swatches and it’s not losing its damn mind! Hopefully they fixed it for good.

The visit came and went in May. Luckily nothing was actually ruined but ALMOST! Close calls and definitely some major disrespect. Even the smallest infraction are still ruminating in my head daily and nightly. My therapist says to write it all out to help my brain process it. That’s just not working for me. I’ve filled pages and I’m still waking at 2am with it replaying over and over in my head. And I feel so stupid bc it’s like the dumbest things. But I get it, it’s my brains way of trying to rewrite history says therapist. My whole gut says to confront! Let her fucking have it! But everyone else: no don’t do it that won’t help. ¯\_(ツ)_/¯
Let me give it another try at writing it out… I welcomed her with open arms. It was a special occasion and I wanted everything to go positive and smoothly. It was only 4 days. It did go smoothly but only bc I bit my tongue. She smoked weed daily in my home in my youngest child’s room even tho I’ve told her in past visits she cannot smoke in my home. I love weed! I’m not against it. I just don’t like my home smelling like it. Boundary crossed. Every time she came in from taking her little dog out the dog would run her nose/mouth all over my rug. I knew this was going to leave saliva trails on my rug so I spoke up. I told her outright it was rude to let her do that. Her response “it’s not rude” and happily let the dog continue bc she thinks it’s cute. (How absent minded can a person be?) I had to scrub it out of my rug on my hands and knees after she left. She asked to use my iron & board to get ready for the event. I watched her bc of her history of clumsiness and destruction of my things. I didn’t want my board ruined or worse my house burnt down. She set the iron down flat on the board while trying to layout her clothes. I gently said “you’re not supposed to let the iron sit flat.” She got an attitude all huffy and puffy and told me “it’s fine to do for a minute.” I felt really disrespected by this. I’ve had the board for 20yrs and it has no burns or discoloration she was going to use it once and make it ugly (it has a really pretty pattern I love). How hard is it to set it upright. If you’re using someone else property and they give you a gentle hint wouldn’t you get it?? Wouldn’t you want to be careful?? This small infraction really set my ass on fire and I’m not easily pissy. I had to leave the room and go take deep breaths. I wanted to lose it on her. But it wasn’t the day to do it. Later she asked to use my flat iron to do her hair. I no longer had the one she’s used in the past and I was extremely reluctant to let her use my new shark flexfusion I got for my bday. I was obviously nervous explaining to her how to use it and made it a point to tell her it was $400! She said she was kind of nervous to use it. She takes it upstairs. Comes down 20min later and looked the exact same to me. No hair tool in hand. It’s almost time to leave. I ask if she used it and she said yes and thanked me. Weird but ok. She went back upstairs into the room so I go up into the bathroom up there to collect it since she couldn’t be bothered to return it to me. It’s sitting on the bathroom vanity in a fucking puddle of water! Have you ever wanted to beat someone with a hair tool before?
We get to the event location a bit early and are waiting in the car in the parking lot. My husband gets out to walk my oldest in (families had to wait to enter 20mins later). She decided to take some hits from her vape pen, windows up, my two other children and myself in the back of the vehicle. It stunk! This is my car and we are all dressed up to go to a major milestone event for my little family and she doesn’t even ask or step out and stinks us all up. I immediately roll the window down and say I don’t want to smell like that! She sighs loudly like I’m the problem. Sighing is her thing she does when she’s annoyed. Who smokes in a car with children with the windows up!!! She really ruined that whole experience for me. I really wanna lay it all out for her let her know from my perspective what a bitch she is. But my therapist says to write it out to help process it. So far that hasn’t helped. Wrote it several times, this is the condensed version actually. Still angry still want to bitch her out even tho I’ve never bitched anyone out in my life. I’m the most non confrontational person. It’s the audacity, the entitlement and outright disrespect that is driving me crazy. Literally losing sleep over it 2mo later. I at least stood up for myself and got out of driving her to the airport. Made her get a uber even tho I had the whole day off. Fuck that. I’m definitely not down to ever have her back in my home. I don’t deserve it. It’s been 25yrs of this from the first day I met her she’s been condescending to me. Idk how to end this post. Keep writing it out? Lay it all out for her knowing it won’t help bc she has no self awareness and been a bitchy, snobby, clumsy mess all her life? ¯\_(ツ)_/¯

I’m thinking I need a cream? Something very natural looking (no chunky shimmer with changing colors). I will only need the teeny tiniest very thin amount. I don’t use highlighter anywhere else on my face so I don’t need a lot of anything that’s too expensive. I have my eye on Haus labs glassy stick bc it actually says can be use on lips and it doesn’t look to shimmery. Hard to tell which shade will look natural on me. I’m light almost fair toned. Clear or the pink-rose gold. Or would something like rhode highlight milk work…I just worry I won’t get precise application with that. May end up with a glowy mustache. Another is Saie glowy super gel lightweight dewy multipurpose illuminator (that’s a long name). That one I can get a mini for $18 so it’s the most affordable. Thought?

I tried placing a buy online pick up in store order and it said my location no longer does buy online/pick up. I don’t have any other Sephora’s near me. I don’t do delivery for various reasons. I do buy online bc I can use Venmo (how my clients pay me). I asked if I could pay with Venmo in store once and they didn’t know what I was talking about. I guess I’ll have to spend my Venmo $ elsewhere.
