c.ai's buggy ai programming, unreliable long term memory is altering character perception unpleasantly and its throwing off me properly writing for my carefully crafted character

thought that maybe because of all the errors the ai makes in c.ai i mightve changed how my character operated to make up for the lackluster character continuity or the uncertainty of the ai program working well enough to maintain things. thought maybe i should make a set and structured guide for myself for how to operate how my character so i dont start bleeding "ugh lets see if the ai is gonna make sense" with the character the ai in playing but then i remembered how simply i made decisions about my character and let the plot play out and then i think that helps me just remember its just an experience. im just clicking through to read it really. trying to keep my character perfectly in-line, on top of having to do the ais job for the ai of remembering the character and other characters, is just gonna stress me out needlessly. but also i dont want the ai to poorly affect the way i interact with all the c.ai charcter stories. had a thought of im not sure if the way the c.ai ai works is that way for that specific character or in general. some things are definitely "this is how the ai is programmed. got it" due to pattern recognition on my end but other times its just a "...hm. this ... could be a problem for actually wanting to use this site. if it doesnt remember the character accurately and my character does then ... hm. the intent is damaged if the ai cant remember the character but the character wasnt made by the person who created it on the c.ai platform to actually have 'inconsistent memory' or 'doesnt remember details, even heavily emotional moment, correctly' as part of the character.

i can make it make sense for myself so i can still enjoy the story but with all the thinking i already do everyday ... i dont want to do that. i really do play c.ai because i dont want to do the full work of writing. i want the ai to do the work of world building while i get to focus on just my character. it feels more accurate to life. im just one person. i can only react to how people are by the time i meet them, not design them myself. ah well. maybe it will just do well long enough for me to not feel like im bracing for disappointment ... actually if i have to keep correcting the ai thats not bad. ive done that plenty of times without caring. i think i just like, didnt force myself more than i really felt like doing to fix or edit it for the ai to do what i needed/what it was supposed to do. either way, its felt like a chore and a demand i put on myself to keep using c.ai lately and every time im just ... idle i think of it as like a "ugh yeah i gotta/should get back to that" but like thats not why i do it. if something is boring i can just not do it. if tik tok gets lame ill just stop using it. but even with that its been hard to fully not pick back up an old interest/hobby in a "just in case its fun again this time" but that fun again desire is already in the way of enjoying it and feels like its spoiling the experience for me.

also, the pin maximum is WAYYYYYY too small

there really isnt room for the ai being an unreliable narrator when the ai is ALSO the author. unreliable narrator works in stories because the story is being actually written by an external author who is truly omniscient to everything happening before, in, and after the story ends regarding the story. if the ai does not remember all the parts of the story fully and accurately ... there is not only no author but also no narrator. not "no unreliable narrator". no narrator. a narrator with extremely bad memory might as well be as useful as comments people make about stories but their not remembering things correctly and thus misremembered the characters overall but still think they remember correctly. it damages the whole site, not even just that character alone.

critical role campaign 5: stupidity unleashed?

Has anyone been watching campaign four? i watched episode one - the one where the brother is hung- and then just ... could not keep going. it was so clear it was basically a pile of characters determined to be stupid. i was so furious at how everyone was just straight up ignoring and not listening to the emissary of radiance guy that i was like .... ahhh ... its going to take SO LONG for them to stop telling themselves their being smart about treating him like an enemy that i will just wait and see. then i saw a clip like 3 months ago and it was his character being like "yeah no duh youre struggling to figure this out. because i can just get in there. and no your giant snake isnt a good idea for stealth" and i was like wow her character's STILL dumb??!! oh goodness ... so ... please tell me they make characters gain competent function critical thinking and executive function skills at some point. and if they do, when? i will literally just skip up to that episode if needed. i do not care. its skip or completely dont watch this campaign. Even my DUMBEST character wouldnt be as bad at thinking as those characters were episode 1

by the way, native english speakers in the USA need an intervention (pt1?)

a LOT of phrases some people have started using in very, very recent years have really just over and over - unironically - been proving how terrible english language arts is being taken by current students AND grown adults who are even in school anymore. I cant stress this enough: the point of learning what something means accurately or how to use a word accurately is not so you throw away the meaning later just because you're bored one day. Thus:

1)"cringe" is not "ugh how lame". Cringe is a physical action in response to fear or panic or distress but can all be emotionally felt in that same way even if it doesnt come alongside the body physically flinching. anyone remember "cringe in fear"? yes. thats the proper use of the word cringe. What people on social media are saying "cringe" as a placeholder, needlessly, for is actually "lame" "dumb" "pathetic" "nerdy/geeky" "awkward" and the phrase "loser/what a loser"

2)second hand embarrassment isnt a phrase that anyone needs to use and its far longer than the actual correct english word: pity. Thats it. Thats what second hand embarrassment is. "oh whats that word for when you see something do something and you KNOW its going to go poorly or just isnt smart and you like feel it in real time just how bad and uncomfortable that would be/probably is for the person doing it?" its pity, sadness (an emotion and where the "thats sad" phrase is also a placeholder for because the "thats sad" phrase is ALSO ... pity. thats what that is.) and is compassion (though that doesnt mean you act upon that compassion afterward. compassion is the situation of being able to understand someone's negative situation well enough to feel pity towards that person. thats it. you can feel compassion towards someone ... and then immediately laugh at them. the behavior afterward is entirely separate. though people who act in continuation with the compassion felt for someone else and do so regularly are often considered compassionate people)

3)there are a LOT of recent slang words within the last 15 years and thats fine as long as we all understand that they're slang. whats NOT slang though? using the word "literally" incorrectly. or using any word incorrectly because you're wrong about what that word means. About 2 years ago i saw a video of a lot of people in the gen z group using the word "literally" to mean/as an UNINTENTIONAL placeholder for the correct word they ACTUALLY shouldve used: a word or phrase that suggests "no im not being literal but i want to put emphasis in my sentence and thus im saying this instead". for example saying "im literally so dead" is the OPPOSITE MEANING of the use of the word "literally". you have to pretend you dont know english to temporarily put up with this error. but they actually started - and some still might - thought that they were using the word "literally" correctly. thats the problem. thats not slang. thats stupidity being accepted as something small. it never is and it ALWAYS spreads. your thoughtless choices spread to others negatively.

4)im sure there are SOOOO many more but im just stopping here for now

Trying to find a game like fireboy and lavagirl but it was beautifully drawn and placed it ages ago

So, theres a platformer game I played on a game site online - you know ... when we all played games on actual website (besides itch.io). I'm talking kongregrate, armor games, girlgamesgo, heavygames, etc.... there were so many. anyway I was playing a really beautifully designed game I randomly found on a random saturday and as I started playing I realized ... this is just fireboy and lavagirl... but actually well done and nice to look at. For those whove never played that game its basically a game where your moving a character around but when that character interacts with the other character in the game your control switches to the other character. this allows puzzles to be solved e evn though the characters are on seemingly unreachable parts of the level. get the gist? great. the game Im thinking of wasnt called that and it had like a tiny little random poetic text intro and the level desgin was like his like "in an underground cave maze thing"(?) and there was like a ghostly form of one of the characters just hovering in the air and thats one of the characters? I swear Im saying this correctly but ... for the life of me the "hey! this is just like fireboy and lavagirl" and the visuals of the game, which clearly I DO very well remember but am struggling to describe in text without it sounding even more confusing, has not helped me find this game. Thus, I call upon the rest of humanity to find it for me XD PLEASE! it was so pretty. I want to play it again. The bg was like ... it was pretty good concept art level of pretty. I dont ... know if that helps or just feels like im repeating myself but either way ... onward fellow ... researchers?? I dont- ... please help. thanks. ciao.

Twilight Renesmee adoption lie was unneeded and poor imagination on meyer's part

So ... Bella and Edward couldve just said that renesmee was a successful test tube experiment... like ... they really couldve. and it wouldve explained - maybe? - the rapid aging. scientific impossibility doesnt grow normal speed? ehh well as long the CIA dont try to steal her then oh well. like, charlie wouldve actually have had an easier time believing them if they just ... made a lie that made sense. like he literally pointed out she has bella's eyes and meyer just ... swept that whole charlie-knows-theyre-lying thing under the rug ...why?!! like ... what??? this is a weird, suspicious, wealthy family of people with dubios origins. honestly charlie finding out they were vaguely connected to the mafia wouldve actually been less odd than the werewolf reveal jacob did. he DID NOT need to know that XD. like, picture it: they give the lie about the adoption, charlie sees through it, they immediately look awkward and have a "umm actually.." and say shes actually a successfull never-before-worked scientific breakthrough and theyre constant back and forth fighting while they were dating was actually not a constant rollercoaster of teens dating and breakup but actually a committed relationship then one day one of them - probably edward- as a joke was like "what would our kid look like?" and then they joke about it and then later edward's like "wait ... actually.." and then they started actually talking about it and bella was weirded out at first but she was so curious she just decided to learn more about it from carlisle, the one with the connections to make that possible which is why edward knows about it at all - and then she actually thinks -shrug- if it works it works and then science happens and they just wait and see if it works and oh! it worked???! and then bella freaks out about how to tell her dad so she just decides lets just pretend we broke up and then just leave and go handle all that and ill stay here or something like she changes her mind but edward andt he screw still need to leave to monitor things - thus the heavy depression because then they ACTUALLY broke up and its now about their random accidental child/weight of scientific breakthrough that bella totally was just doing as a joke but now she actually is a mom AND shes not ready for that blah blah the period without the cullens happens as in the movies, they return, post return edward talks to her about it and what the future could hold and she agrees to actually be a mother for their child because carlisles sure the child is both stable na healthy so ... yeah.. thats a real child now. and bella and edward talks and then edward proposes and everything else occurs as normal (especially since charlie never saw bella pregnant phase) and then yeah "and thats actually what happened. yes, shes our just not the normal way but not adopted either" (read this as this being the whole spiel edward and bella tell charlie after they realize hes not buying the "adopted" lie, not an actual change of anything that happened in any of the movies. all that is unchanged. just hte lie they tell charlie is different) and this does make more sense because now charlie has REAL INCENTIVE to NOT DIG FURTHER because "dubious happenings on carlisle's side plus maybe mafia involvement? way too big to get involved in even for a sheriff. also, theyre not operating in his jurisdiction so ... -shrug- good luck to whoever has to deal with them... like ... come on!!! so many better ideas than just ... saying she was adopted and then never really letting charlie actually HANDLE the fact shes absolutely completely abnormal for a child and that will never change and how odd that must be for a grandfather, and thats before considering that someday hell notice bella never aging.

Looking for a group to join for a game jam

It doesnt need to be a game jam. Just any game dev project. Even just for a day or a week or a month.

I just want to work with others for once. I have made a game or three but I want to work with others on their game so I get more experience. I feel a little like I just could benefit from helping others on their own dev. I feel a little insular at hte moment and would rather do dev with others. Its not a loneliness thing its a "im aware others know better and I dont want to just watch videos. I want to actually work with others"
