Long story short, I am a Marketing Manager and I report into a Sr. Director of Strategy and Marketing. When I took the job I was told I would soon take over the marketing part so they could evolve in the strategy role. Well, it's been several years and nothing has changed. We both are doing marketing but they also do strategy. I want to have more autonomy but every time I bring it up and share why, they find some reason to hold me back, reasons I don't always agree with. But, I respect their opinion as my boss and lean into growing my skills. I'm held to a very different standard than other people with my job title. I have great relationships with people on the team. I've brought in a lot of opportunities to the business. I think I deserve a leg up. I've also sacrificed a ton for my job and to make my boss happy. I think they are struggling to let go of marketing, but even when opportunities arise to give me a chance, they take ownership of it. They even dangled "doing X will get you a promotion" and then when I do X, still no promotion. IDK what to do.

I received an email the supplier matchmaker event was canceled this year. There wasn't a reason for the cancelation. Hoping someone may have some information as to why. Thanks!

Hi everyone, looking for stories of hope in this really uncertain situation. At 11 weeks 4 days i went in for my NT test, we saw the baby wiggle and all the measurements looked good except they measured the neck fluid at 3.5 which puts me at high risk for DS. It was awful to hear that. It's my first pregnancy and after trying for 1.5 years this was heartbreaking news. My OB said not to worry yet we will do an NIPT and go from there. We did all the blood work and are currently waiting for results which has been awful. The worry is overwhelming. Upon looking at my NT results after the appointment i noticed a note saying the nasal bone couldn't be seen. The OB never mentioned that too me in the appointment so as one does after seeing that on paper after the appointment it took my husband and I on another spiral. I might just be looking for signs of reassurance, but why wouldn't the doctor mention the nasal bone? I know the US tech said the baby was in a difficult position so could it be they just couldn't get a good side profile view and had to note the nasal bone was absent? Anyway, hoping for some stories of hope as we wait for NIPT results. We know what the worst case scenario is and we are choosing to not think about that until NIPT results are back. Wish the doctor would have given me more information, we are definitely asking all the questions going forward. Appreciate anyone reading this and sharing their stories.
