If conquest succeeded in splitting Oliver in half and ate his heart, would it be considered cannibalism or something else since he's only half viltrumite?

Why is it condescending/pretentious to use more precise words in speech and actually take into consideration of what you type? [16M]

Ive been ridiculed numerous times by fellows my age simply for using more precise words to get a point across and as a result typing slower than average because I enjoy being precise, not quick. This also happens in my daily speech and I always wonder why people always think I'm being pretentious just because I reach for words that more so get my meaning across...

Can anybody else relate?
