LDN for chronic rib/intercostal pain from Slipping Rib Syndrome?**

**

For those dealing with **Slipping Rib Syndrome**, has anyone been prescribed **LDN (low-dose naltrexone)**?

I've had persistent pain around my lower ribs for a long time and I'm looking into different ways of controlling the pain component of SRS. I haven't found much information specifically about LDN and slipping ribs.

I'd really appreciate hearing from anyone who has actually used it, whether it helped or not. Did it reduce your pain or sensitivity? What dosage did you start with? Did you experience any side effects?

I'm particularly curious about experiences from people whose symptoms started after an injury or trauma.

Thank you.

Has anyone with Slipping Rib Syndrome tried Low-Dose Naltrexone (LDN)?**

**

Hi everyone. I have Slipping Rib Syndrome (SRS) / suspected hypermobility of the lower ribs and I'm wondering if anyone here has tried **low-dose naltrexone (LDN)** for the chronic pain associated with it.

I'm especially interested in whether LDN helped with rib/intercostal pain, nerve-type pain, muscle tension or sensitivity around the affected ribs.

If you've tried it, what dose did you use, how long did it take before you noticed any effect, and did it make a meaningful difference?

I understand LDN wouldn't correct the mechanical problem itself. I'm mainly interested in people's experiences with pain and associated symptoms.

Thanks!

Has anyone been prescribed Cymbalta for suspected nerve pain *before* getting a diagnosis?

Hi everyone,

I'm hoping to hear from people who have experienced **neuropathic (nerve) pain**.

I don't have a confirmed diagnosis yet, but my doctor believes my pain may be nerve-related and prescribed **Cymbalta (duloxetine)**.

My pain is mainly in my **abdomen and rib cage**. It's a constant **burning, searing sensation** that feels like it's keeping my nervous system in a constant state of alert. I also feel like this constant pain is affecting my digestion, almost as if my intestines don't move properly because my body is always "on."

I'm looking for **personal experiences**, not medical advice.

A few questions:

* What did your nerve pain actually feel like?

* Did it feel burning, electric, stabbing, or something different?

* Were you prescribed Cymbalta before you had a confirmed diagnosis?

* If so, did it help? How long did it take before you noticed a difference?

* Did anyone else experience digestive issues or feel like their nervous system was constantly in "fight or flight" because of the pain?

I'd really appreciate hearing from anyone who's been through something similar. Thank you.

Strattera + Cymbalta

For those taking **Strattera + Cymbalta (duloxetine)**:

If you were already prone to anxiety or nervousness, did this combination make it worse, stay the same, or improve it?

I'd really appreciate hearing about your experiences.

60mg strattera panic attack please help

Has anyone experienced this with Strattera?

I started on 18 mg in January, then took 40 mg for 2 months, and I've now been on 60 mg for 3 weeks.

I've only just started having panic attacks after 3 weeks on 60 mg. I didn't have any panic when I first increased to 60 mg.

Has anyone else had panic attacks start weeks after increasing the dose?

*Anyone else develop new chest/back pain around 2 weeks after gallbladder surgery?**

*

I'm looking for other people's experiences after a laparoscopic gallbladder removal.

For the first week or so I felt like I was slowly improving, but around the **2-week mark** my chest and back pain seemed to get worse instead of better.

I'm curious:

* Did anyone else feel like they were improving and then suddenly got worse around week 2 (or even later)?

* What did the pain feel like? (Dull ache, pressure, burning, stabbing, tightness, etc.)

* Where exactly was it located? (Right chest, between the shoulder blades, upper back, right shoulder, under the right ribs, sternum, neck...)

* Did it get worse with deep breathing, coughing, twisting, or certain movements?

* How long did it last before it finally started improving?

I'd really appreciate hearing from anyone who experienced something similar. Thanks!

**For those who had biliary dyskinesia: Was your recovery harder than people with gallstones? Looking for success stories.**

Hi everyone,

I've noticed that many people with **biliary dyskinesia** seem to describe a slower or more difficult recovery after gallbladder removal compared with people who had gallstones.

I'm currently recovering after surgery for biliary dyskinesia (very low ejection fraction) and I'm wondering if this is a common experience.

I'm especially looking to hear from people who:

* Had **biliary dyskinesia** (not just gallstones).

* Felt discouraged during the first few weeks because they still had pain or the same symptoms.

* Thought the surgery hadn't worked.

* But eventually recovered and are now glad they had their gallbladder removed.

Some questions:

* Was your recovery slower than you expected?

* How many weeks or months did it take before you noticed a significant improvement?

* Did you still have right upper quadrant pain, shoulder blade pain, chest pressure, or digestive symptoms during the first few weeks?

* At what point did you realize the surgery had actually worked?

I'm looking for honest experiences from people who are now doing well. Thank you!

**13 Days After Gallbladder Removal - Severe Pressure in Back, Right Side of Sternum, Neck and Shoulder Pain. Looking for Similar Experiences**

Hi everyone,

I am 13 days post-op after gallbladder removal. My gallbladder had an ejection fraction of only 7%, and pathology confirmed chronic cholecystitis.

I will attach images showing the exact areas where I feel the symptoms.

The worst symptom is not necessarily intense pain, but a very strange and distressing sensation of pressure, tightness, inflammation, and sensitivity.

In my back, I feel pressure between the spine and the right shoulder blade, extending into the middle and lower back. It feels as if something is stuck there, like a huge blockage or pressure that won't release.

What worries me even more is the area on the front of my body, just to the right of the sternum and under the right costal margin. I will show this area in a second image. That area already hurt before surgery and still feels inflamed, sensitive, rigid, and irritated. It is not a sharp pain. It feels deeper, almost visceral, like something involving the diaphragm or tissues underneath.

I also continue to have:

* Neck pain

* Right shoulder pain

* Collarbone pain

* Pain between the shoulder blades

* Tightness that feels like my chest and neck are pulling inward

* Discomfort after eating

* Trapped gas and constant pressure

* A sensation that the right side of my abdomen is blocked and not flowing normally

The strangest thing is that these symptoms existed before surgery and many of them are still here 13 days later.

Has anyone experienced this type of pressure, sensitivity, or "inflamed" feeling after gallbladder removal?

Did anyone have pain around the right side of the sternum, diaphragm area, shoulder blade, neck, and shoulder that eventually improved?

How long did it take?

I would be extremely grateful for any experiences because right now I feel lost and I don't know if this is part of recovery or if something else is going on.

Thank you very much.

Please my symptoms help me

.For those who had gallbladder problems:

Could you tell me if you experience anything similar?

  1. Pressure in the chest and back, like being squeezed with a vise, also on the right side of the neck.

  2. Pain under the right ribs when laughing, coughing, or breathing.

  3. A constant feeling of having something stuck under the right ribs, like a balloon or ball.

  4. Sluggish bowel movements, constipation, and gas.

  5. Never feeling hungry. Back pain under the shoulder blade and between the shoulder blade and spine; the pain is sometimes dull and other times like a sharp, contracting wave.

Please tell me if any of these symptoms remind you of yours. Thank you very much.
