Clothing for 6 days at JW Lodge in Masai Mara

This is our (3 sisters) first time visiting Kenya and certainly any vacation of this type. We understand to pack light. We would appreciate guidance from the ladies out there on what to wear while in MM as well as traveling in and out of the region in October. Feel free to be specific about shoes, tops, pants, hats, PJs. Think comfortable and efficient, yet low key stylish. We plan to take the guided game drives of course, but would also like to visit some villages to learn about the culture. Also, if anybody has been to the JW, what is the vibe like for dinners? TIA!

Lounge advice: US to/fr Kenya with long layovers in Frankfurt

Solo United Airlines (lowly Silver status) traveler here with United Quest credit card. Lufthansa flights were booked through the United app. The terminals and gates have not yet been assigned to my flights. ‘Looking to get some preliminary information on what to anticipate during my long layovers in Frankfurt. Will my luggage be handed off to my next flight or will I have to collect it at a carousel and go through customs? I hope to do a lot of walking between the two flights, but what lounge would be best to sign up for? Thank you, fellow globetrotters!
Edit: I have a US passport

Daytime Emmy for Heather Tom

I’ve never literally cried watching a soap opera before, but Heather Tom crushed that scene with the Forresters. My heart was breaking for her. I almost forgot she was acting. She owned her character, 1000%.

Check your credit card statements!

I was charged for a May stay upon booking it in March. I thought it odd but I let it go. Then at the end of my May stay I got charged again, albiet a different amount. As soon as I spotted this, I contacted the hotel. While I was on the phone, I got a notification from Marroitt Bonvoy that the erroneous March charge had been reimbursed. It was that easy. They apologized and explained that they have a new computer system and many of their customers are being double charged. They were very kind about it and as I said, I was reimbursed within minutes.
