I finished the Sky Trilogy!!!
After spending approximately 200 hours and earning almost every achievement in the Sky games, I can safely say that this is my favorite video game trilogy of all time. I just finished Trails in the Sky the 3rd 10 minutes ago, and I cannot even begin to think about how some people could dare say that this game is "skippable." Before 3rd Trails in the Sky SC blew me away and made its place among my favorite JRPGS, I had heard some people think the third game is like Persona 3 the Answer dungeon crawler and it does not offer the same amount of mandatory lore. After beating it yeah they are right , it is like the P3 answer if P3 Answer was actually a brilliant JRPG with amazing important story moments, great character development, awesome soundtrack, and enemy designs. I loved P3 but I hate the answer and Sky 3rd is on another level from it , it is the most rewarding dungeon-crawling experience I have played. Almost every door offers a significant part of the highlighted character's story and it makes the narrative even richer. I love Kevin and think that he is one of the best video game protagonists of all time. Sky's first and second chapters are mind-blowing, I already sang the praises for SC but let me do it once more. Sky SC respects every side quest, every NPC, every plot detail, and every cliffhanger that the first chapter has set up. It delivers on all fronts, telling the original narrative while also going back to the story from the first chapter and building upon it. The only complaint that I have for these three games is recycled areas and bosses but I cannot even stay true to that complaint cause the games are very slick with that, offering new quests and a large amount of dialog about those areas. All in all, I am an official Trails fan now and I already bought Zero/Azure and Sky FC Remake on Steam. I do hope the quality of the story and character development does not drop or change since it is something I loved dearly playing this trilogy. And let me say again TRAILS IN THE SKY THE 3RD IS ABSOLUTELY a MUST PLAY, do not dare skip it. You will lack many important and very dark crucial story moments of the franchise. Also Do recommend me a game I can play before jumping to Zero so I can prevent a burnout. (Part of me just wants to play it now). I feel like I did not say enough but I will end it here , This trilogy made me remember why I love JRPGS so much and also it made me talk to every NPC since their dialog is extremely cozy and they react to almost EVERYTHING that is happening in the world, I loved it so much. That will be, go and play The Sky games NOW!
