Since MOE is talking about bullying in school, can you share about the bullying you have seen or experienced in sg schools? How were they resolved or how did you overcome it?

Some of the more recent bullying I hear from my nephews who are in primary school are often written off as pranks and how the bullies are still learning. Not good for the victims for sure. No point being aware about mental health issues when the systems don’t deal with bullying to stop the bullies.

Last time I remember if the students kick and hit others, or girls who spread gossips about others, the complaints from the students are taken more seriously.

Teachers got so much to do and it’s too much for the teachers to play judge and investigate. What would be a good way forward?

In Sg, many of us are sheltered. At what age did you learn about death? How did you make peace or learn to see it as part of life?

I recall encountering a dead bird on way to school. Seeing its small lifeless body and almost hollowed out eyes that were being surrounded by ants. That really sent shivers down my spine and I remember feeling really sad and uncomfortable. Took a long time before I came to terms and at peace with death being a part and parcel of life

What about you
