Officially by sony, they did say it all. ALL DIFFERENCE in short 3 sentences. Sony didnt even bother to do further software enhance be it just time exclusive and so on, to "justify" the price increase, they just couldnt care......

If they have at least add something diff, i mean even any one of these (add back notification led/enhance camera button to 2 stage button/reduce the horrendous side bezel/add a lanyard hole/add back press to detect fp/any simple stuff like new clock style/widgets/ANYTHING), it would have at least bring interest to some xperia users, instead of current scenario of almost 100 negative reception.....

I don't wanna switch brand but it's just sad to see other brand have smaller size..

I don't like punch hole, heavy UI and so on but the smaller size is just .....too nice especially on hand 😢...where's compact, where's series 5, heck give me something with with 71mm and I will be happy now too despite I'm a compact team.....

bring back compact!!!!! Sony!!!!

Is Sony not doing any kind of simple processing on their recent flagship video shooting?

I recalled Xperia during z1 area have one of the best stabilization but the stabilization in recent flagship Xperia, seems almost none existence?

I recalled older xperia had 360 but only for 360 supported music (eg: tidal), tried this long time ago but didn't like it, I think mainly because it was mainly on music I guess.

Recently I tried the 360upmix in Xperia and it just feels better, like it on everything like videos and music too.

Now it feels abit off when I use Sony earphones on none Xperia devices😬 (without 360upmix).

As far as I know, only wh 1000xm6 have device standalone 360upmix, wish it is available on all Sony earphones too😢

I like the ore coating looks and feels (white), but coating is coating, it wear off, just like glass is glass, they break.

Above images were when I tried to scratch them using corner of one phone to the back of anotber phone. If you put enough strength, the coating come off.

I noticed the white colour coating seems to be more fragile, it comes off a little easier than others.

Also the side bezel coating seems softer than the back coating, the corner size frame always wears off the coating on the back of the phone, not the other way around.

I don't know if VIII bezel have coating or not but by comparison I feel vii size frame surface is harder (maybe because VIII have coating layer).

Most of the colours come out from corner frame to back of the phone can be swipe away but if you scratch hard enough some scratches stay! Look at one of the image above where I mentioned some stayed even after wiping (when scratch using harder force).

And sorry for wisma store Sony and anyone going to try it after that.

In actual silver white look triumphs the best, way way more than others, also way more than on promo image. Second is black, looks not as good as promo (personal), other is red (looks way more to purple red in actual), due to the Sony store lighting, I mislook it as purple for some moment, thinking why there is purple VIII.......

The silver VIII looks so damn great to the point I feel like it looks better than vi and vii!!! I can't believe I say this.

It makes me wanna buy white silver VIII😂🤣, I didn't have the same felt for vi and vii due to the aspect ratio, but somehow this square module looks more balance on none 21:9.

It feels great on hand compared to VII (personal), I dont get the Chucky feel I gotten from vii which is on demo also. It feels great on hand without case, but I know it is still a little bit too big since I use compact/10 series.

I just wish the revive series 5 with the same design and spec 😢 then my next phone will be it

As per the title say, I really think I wouldn't like the new design, hated it. But after watching bunny video on white colour, it starts to grow on me now😂. I just couldn't resist white+ silverish colour

Watched the videos and pictures, the ore pattern on Xperia looks quite similar to surface touch of alpha. Also the slop angle and square body design looks alpha feels too.

They could have just marketed it as alpha inspired design to get more "faith" from Xperia users, so more falling in to buy it😂

Yup Sony dare to put this excellent result in their website to show how greatly trained and tuned their Ai is .....and they confidently think this result is so great that they use it to advertise in their official websites, bravo to Sony, good job~

as if your goal trying to kill Xperia unofficially is not clear enough yet 👍
