Apartment recommendations?

Hey everyone. My family and I are looking to move into an apartment but it seems like most have horrible reviews. We are saving to buy a home so trying to keep costs down for the next few years.
We are looking for a 2 bedroom under $1700 per month. Nothing downtown.

Please recommend any good properties you know of. No pests are a must. Thank you!

Signed a lease and paid deposit, just found out the building is infested with roaches. What do we do?

We haven’t moved in yet. Our move-in date is June 3rd 2026. (3 weeks away). It’s a 1-year lease. We just signed the lease yesterday and paid our last month’s deposit. After running into someone who used to live in this building just a few months ago, I’ve come to find out the building has cockroaches. After digging further online I see many people writing online about an infestation in the building. These didn’t pop up during my initial Google of the property.

Today I reached out to the building manager over the phone and explained that I’ve come to realize the building has a cockroach problem and she said “but your unit doesn’t” and she said the apartment would be sprayed as a precautionary measure before our move-in date. This does nothing if the entire building isn’t sprayed, the roaches will eventually just come back into my apartment.

During our viewing we kept it very quick as the current tenant was there, so I didn’t open any cabinets or drawers or anything, so I haven’t seen anything for myself.

I’m terrified to move my 2 young children into this apartment. We bought all new furniture and I’m terrified to even bring it into the apartment knowing very well it may be ruined by roaches when we eventually move out when we legally can.

What can I do?

How much did your insurance premium go up when you added food delivery to your car insurance?

And add your location and insurance company if you feel comfortable please!

What kind of items are we all using in our vehicles to not only protect the cleanliness of our cars but to also keep food safe and warm? Every insulated bag I’m seeing on Amazon doesn’t seem sufficient for a few bags of food but also a pizza, or drinks etc.

Drop some product links if you can. I’m a newbie and I just keep the bag of food on my front passenger seat.. I need help!
