Didn’t know this subreddit existed! I consumed my first ochras a couple weeks ago and damn are they amazing! These are certainly my new favorite mushroom to grow, and to consume. They’re also super fast colonizers.

Beautiful canopy and super proud of this tub. I highly recommend this species to other new growers, it was super easy to grow and colonized so fast and aggressively. My ochras literally colonized their spawn bags in 2 weeks. Also they are the most potent of anything I’ve grown yet and I recently grew an APE variant (Sv10). Not only are the potent but they provide the best entourage of effects, very lighthearted, humorous, and blissful trips.

Sv10 (Albino Chode Wave x Yeti)

My first tub of anything that isn’t golden caps! I have yet to try these bad boys out but they look super beooooootiful, mysterious, and definitely other worldly. Not a bad canopy for a pretty new grower! I’m super happy about these and can’t wait to try them. Have any of you guys grown these? Id love pictures and videos.

Ochras - DO NOT UNDERESTIMATE

I recently harvested my 2 tubs of ochras which I didn’t think much of, other than the fact that they were super easy to grow. I was going to visit my friend today and had just 1 gram of them thinking it would just add a little fun to the day.
That was a crazy underestimation.
Long story short I had a pretty intense trip for the better part of 6 hours and I got completely absorbed into playing GTA 5 for almost the whole time. I didn’t mind the fact that I was sitting around all day as I am recovering from a surgery right now. Has anyone else had any experience with ochras at all? I’d love to hear people’s stories. Sorry about the horrible writing structure I’m still tripping a bit as I write this.

Successful flush - first time growing!

This is the 3rd AIO grow bag I innoculated (all innoculated at the same time earlier this summer) and I have to say this is my most successful one! The strain is B+ and I’ve gotten an ounce out of the other 2 bags. Safe to say I’m super happy with the literal fruits of my labor and this is a truly fun hobby. The ROI is also insane in this hobby.

Is there a correlation between having a healthy gut and how well you digest mushrooms?

So I see you all posting on here about how you all get nauseous, bad digestive issues, and gas when you eat shrooms. This seriously confused be because every time me and my friends eat shrooms that doesn’t happen to any of us. Then I had the idea that maybe it’s because we’re all super into our health, and very careful about our diets and never eat any junk food. Because all of us have great digestion normally and don’t get much/any gas or digestive issues normally, it’s easier for us to digest shrooms? Is that possible? Or possibly it’s just a coincidence and some people digest shrooms better than others. What do you guys think.

I love nicotine and it isn’t addictive for me

I use probably 1-3 nicotine pouches when I have them and I enjoy them, but when I run out it’s no big deal and I don’t miss it too much. I don’t really get cravings or anything, and no matter how much nicotine I use I just seem to never get addicted. I can not use them for weeks and be totally fine. Is anyone else like this?

Is substrate supposed to take this long to colonize?

The pictures attatched is about 5 days since putting into tubs, is this normal? The tubs are completely watertight so humidity is high. I’m not sure what I’m doing wrong. The corn doesn’t seem to be colonizing the substrate at all.

I really fucked up with my monotub

The other day I was making a monotub and while sterilizing the tub I completely forgot to wipe out the alcohol that was in it. Now it’s growing rather slow or so it would seem. Is there any way to remedy this?? Picture attatched is 5 days after putting into tub.
