What’s your top 5 favorite mutants

Hi guys, with X Men ‘97 season 2 premiering its first 3 episodes, I wanted to ask your favorite characters because I thought it’d be interesting. I’ll go first:
1 & 2 (tie). Morph and Ice Man
3. Wanda Maximoff
4. Kitty Pryde
5. After the latest episodes of ‘97 it might actually be Psylocke. Either her or like Jubilee.
My 1&2 and 3 can be interchangeable, it depends on my mood and after these episodes I’m in a Morph and Bobby mood lol.
Anyway, I’d like to know y’all’s favorites!!!

Hi, question for the SDL community, how do you like your anime?

Hi, so I don’t really care if you like the anime or not, this is more so WHY you like it. I just don’t understand how you don’t find it a bit odd, I mean it follows a common, yet gross, trope of a grown man falling for a little girl looking person, but sike she’s actually a 5000000 year old cosmic being! I just don’t get it, even if she isn’t a little child, she looks like one and I get uncomfortable seeing a little girl being sexualized, as do most normal people. Next, what’s the deal with the characters? I mean mostly just Escanor, why is HE the most popular character? He’s so 1-dimensional and boring and his ability is to what? Get buff and really strong??? Another instance is Ban and Meliodas, just… why? I mean I get like the unga bunga mentality, like “ooh I like big strong man who punch, oh he stupid, me like!” But like, there’s gotta be a limit, not to mention Meliodas is a complete creep and Ban, again, falls for a little girl so he’s also a creep. Last question is mostly a question for the anime community in general? Why do you like overly perverted main characters? It can’t be relatable unless the only thing on your minds are boobs and cool fight scenes, so why do you enjoy it? Anyway, sorry if anything came off as overly rude, I’m sure yall are all great people outside of this subjectively terrible anime, peace and love!!!

I just watched WandaVision again and found something out, am I stupid???

Ok, so as the title says I’m watching WandaVision and I found out that each ad represented a traumatic event in Wanda’s life that she was expressing. I’m on episode 5 with the Lagos paper towels and I was like “has this always been happening?” Because I didn’t know until this episode. I still think it’s unfair that Wanda is blamed for Lagos because obviously she was acting in the heat of the moment and tried her best and did the most for the people out of the Avengers there, and still was blamed over the others. Anyway, thought this was cool and just wanted to share, by far the best series Marvel has dropped, Loki is a close 2nd though.

YAYYY MORPH SPOTLIGHT

Morph is my favorite character and APPARENTLY (and take this with a grain of salt) early reviewers said Morph will be in the spotlight of season 2 and a “show stealer.” Yay, we love lgbtq representation!!!

Vent on discrimination

Hiii, so I was studying and I got bored, so I started scrolling (as one does), and I came across a reel where this mom was talking about how her daughter was dating this African American girl, and how her son was dating this other guy and the mother was like so proud, and I was SO happy because that’s so cute. But then I like looked at the comments and immediately I see the crazy middle aged christians going to town on this poor lady’s post saying “God didn’t intend for men to fall in love with men,” or “you’re going to hell for your sins,” or even like “when God judges us and I get sent to Heaven while your children get sent to hell, you’ll wish you had listened to me,” and it just got me thinking like what the fuck. Because last I checked it’s 2026 AND pride month and it’s always the same people who claim homophobia and racism as a personality because they don’t have an actual one. Like, 1. You can’t control the color of your skin and 2. You can’t control who you’re attracted to. This just infuriates me because genuinely how sad do you have to be in life to hate on someone for who they love or what they look like. I wasn’t originally going to make this post, but then I came across another reel (DON’T ask me what my feed is) of this cop like trying to get a group of African Americans off the streets because they were partying and all the comments were saying “these people and their kind are worse than zoo animals,” and I was like WOW, because if you have to audacity to say something so heinous to another person or about another person, maybe YOU’RE worse than a zoo animal. The final thing I wanna talk about is religious intolerance, I’m a Muslim who lives in America, so often times I am the target of religious attacks. I came across a Muslim lady who was posting about her children and the comments were just FILLED with Christians talking about how “Islam is a sin” and “you should convert to Christianity,” which is just so mean because everyone is entitled to their religion and for some reason these people feel the need to put their religion on a pedestal while making others feel like shit. The amount of times I’ve been called a bomber is beyond insane, and I can’t even go to my favorite breakfast place anymore because there’s a chance I get attacked (the looks I get are CRAZY just for being a brown person). Anyway, I don’t entirely know what the point of this post was, but I was just kinda sad because of how pathetic and miserable some people are. Peace and love ❤️.

Men’s Mental Health Awareness Month is kinda stupid

Am I wrong for thinking this? I can explain my reasons as to why, if that’d help at all. May itself is already labeled as mental health awareness month for both genders, so why do men need a separate month devoted to their mental health? I guess men DO have mental health problems, but in reality whose fault is that? When men had practically ruled the world and had been treated like gods for centuries, and then they’re (forced) to give “equality” to other groups, that felt like oppression, I mean you’ve still got men all over the internet whining like little babies about how rough they have it and how easy women have it (which, let’s get one thing straight, that’s COMPLETELY wrong). Anyway, the point is that men don’t need another month, when they’ve ruled the world for so long I get that they never found the need to support each other, which led to a discourse BETWEEN men themselves as unlike women or LGBTQ people, they never bonded over struggles and banded together. All this goes to say is their mental health was never everyone else’s problem, and I saw someone else say something extremely true, that women support other women during mental health month and LGBTQ people support each other during pride month, so why do men expect others to support them during men’s mental health month when they don’t support each other. Also, another thing, it just feels like a way to cover up pride month because again, it’s unnecessary with the previous month being mental health month, and it’s also never going to work until men stop having their victim complexes and learn to support each other through their struggles, women did it and the result was that they became self sufficient and powerful, as they should have always been (blame that on men too, bc it’s genuinely their fault). Also, before anyone says I’m a man hating woman, I’m a man… though I’d probably still classify as man hater bc men are idiots ❤️.
