Hi all,

Please be patient with me as I am a newbie in this field.

My car windshield got a small chip from highway debris on the passenger side. Speedy Glass quoted me $150 to repair it, or I can go through my insurance.

They told me that making the claim shouldn’t negatively affect my insurance, but I’ve never made an insurance claim before and have a clean record.

I am just wondering:

* Does going through insurance for a small windshield chip affect your insurance record or rates in any way?

* Is there any downside to making the claim, even if Speedy Glass says it won’t negatively affect me?

* Are there any advantages to just paying the $150 out of pocket instead?

* Would you personally go through insurance or just pay cash?

Good afternoon all,

I'm admittedly not a gym pro, so I'm wondering if what happened today is considered normal gym etiquette.

I was using the ab machine and was actively working through my sets. I wasn't on my phone or just sitting there, just taking brief rests between sets while remaining seated on the machine. A gentleman came over and stood directly beside me, staring at me and looming over me. At first I assumed he was just taking a break from his own workout, but he never moved. I realized he was waiting for me to finish. I don't like people in my personal space, and I felt so flustered and uncomfortable that I cut my workout on that machine short, wiped it down, and let him have it.

Before cleaning it, I moved my water bottle and phone onto the ab twist machine right beside it because that was the next exercise I planned to do. By the time I finished wiping down the first machine, his friend was already handing me my belongings so he could use the second machine. I didn't even get a chance to use it.

These two gentlemen had been working out in a completely different section of the gym when I started my ab routine, so I wasn't accidentally encroaching in their space.

I'm soft spoken, anxious, and not confrontational, so I ended up just leaving the gym.

Is this considered normal gym etiquette?

I appreciate any advice.

Today at around 1030am I took my kiddos to Tim Hortons drive through. I was more disheveled than usual e.g. literal pajamas inside out... Not my usual M.O. at all. My sons were getting impatient but I told them no way can Momma go in looking this unhinged.

You bought my entire order, with generosity and humility!!!

I was completely shocked..I must have asked the girl three times, "really?!"

Normally I just get a small mocha but today was the works: timbits, egg sandwhich with tomatoes and lettuce, bagel and cream cheese.

As a single Momma, you have no idea what this meant to me. I'm having such a difficult weekend, emotionally- feel like complete and utter trash. You have made our day.

My son was like 'Mom we need to pay for theres; you have to find them". Granted we did see if you went to FreshCo to thank you, but you weren't there. It is such a valuable lesson for my son about acts of kindness. He said "mom that was unexpected". And I told him the best things in life are unexpected.

I drive a crummy little sedan, but I don't mind caus it gets me from A to B. The one thing I can't live without, though, is my music. Unfortunately, my sound system has become really unreliable.

Can anyone recommend an honest, reasonably priced person or shop that could replace or upgrade my stereo? I'd love something with Bluetooth so I can stop constantly replacing AUX- cell cables. I don't need anything fancy or high-end, just a dependable system for everyday listening.

Having reliable music in my car would do wonders for my mental health.
