Remember when people used to work long illustrious careers?

And get a watch and a pension after 40 years at the same place? I sure as fuck don't. I just found out the Jersey Mikes I works at is closing due to private equity deciding that the location is not within their "strategic interests" to keep it open ie this area is too economically challenged and they wanna move the resources across town where they can charge white folks more per sandwich.

Anyone been to one of those "Master Closer" seminars?

Our lead broker is trying to shake things up and figure out ways to churn more inventory so he sent a few of us to this seminar he saw online where we could learn to be a "Master Closer" and hopefully it would give us that extra edge when working our deals.

Well the only thing that closed was our office for the day because it was a complete waste of time. They spent the first hour or so spraying water on everyone (in a conference center) and then some guy named Adam Elliot came out and yelled at everyone for being "Cucks who don't sell too good" and that was pretty much how the rest of the day went. The tickets were supposed to be $2900 but at the end of the day the organizers said there was going to be a $500 each additional charge because of how much more water they had to use to "get us right" that they weren't going to get their deposit from the hotel back and everyone there had to cover it.

I mean the way that they did it before the internet? ie driving around neighborhoods looking for sale signs, going to a realtors office and have them print you out listings, hearing about a house at a potluck and negotiating the details that same night over a bottle of bourbon? Do you all remember how much soul this industry had before.

Local dealer just reached out to me to let me know they just got first advisory that there will be a Supra special model shipping after the final edition. They diddnt have much info besides it was called Supra 3ncore Edition and apparently it will only be the the limited number made, it will be a ‘27 model but only available for the special editions, you won’t be able to buy a 2027 “regular“ Supra. Has anyone else heard of this?

Realtor to realtor let’s be well real here; who is buying these overpriced non updated boomer homes at the very top of market? Because certainly it is not my clients. My clients are looking for the very best in this price range and these sellers can be so delulu on their valuations. We just toured a home that was priced $150k over comps and the seller said it was because the well water was “the freshest you ever tasted” (it was dark black green sludge in that well…)
