rediscovered two vegetables last week

I tried daikon before but only had it raw or pickled. tried it steamed and found a top tier favorite new vegetable side. it turned soft and dare I say sweet.

I had gold beets a long time ago, and wasn't impressed. Tried again with baby ones roasted and I'm adding them to my rotation.

So I hope this encourages someone to retry a vegetable a different way or try a new one.
