Among Giants VR - Initial Impressions - I was blown away

Among Giants VR - Initial Impressions - I was blown away

I bought this game yesterday during the current "Play All Day" Meta sale for $10.99 USD (40% off). I had never heard of this game before. It was actually listed on the sale page near the bottom of the page. I was just persistent in looking for a good game. It was not featured on the sale page, which is shocking after having played it for a little bit.

This is not meant as a review. I only played for about an hour. However, I was blown away in my initial impressions by the game. The game doesn't hold your hand. It even has an alien language that you sort of have to figure out how to decrypt. However, if you're an experienced gamer and can be observant, it should not be a problem for you. The only negative I have is the bow & arrow mechanics. It's not bad, but it's also not "In Death" good either.

Anyways, I don't want to hype up the game too much, but again, I was blown away in my initial impressions. As a PCVR veteran, that rarely happens, especially at this price point. You get to glide in the air, ride a horse, use a grappling hook ... looking forward to what other secrets the game holds.

Is there some kind of restriction by Meta / Oculus in having more than 1 PC linked to your PCVR app account information?

Does anybody else have 2 PCVR rigs connected to the PCVR Meta app with the same account information? Do the Rift games show on both PCs Meta apps? Note: I'm not talking about Quest games (they work fine). I ask because my old Oculus Rift PCVR games show up on my old PC. However, they do not show up on my new PC. Same account info, same filters.

By contrast, all my Steam games show up on both.

I saw it was free to play. I was ready to grab it and try it out, but then I saw the DLC prices which are absolutely nuts: $6.99, $24.99, and $49.99 USD!!! Do developers really believe those prices are reasonable? That's over $80 USD if you want the full game!!! CRAZY! I'll be surprised if they sell any. There's also several reviews about how it doesn't work and doesn't have multiplayer function yet. YIKES!!! Yeah, I'll be passing on this one. I don't support predatory pricing schemes.

Does anybody know how you challenge the automatic censoring of my URL link? I can't change the URL link. It's just 3 random letters that spelled something that Steam automatically censors. Is there a way to appeal this? I'm not sure why 4 alphanumerics were censored, it starts with 1 though.
