Found this guy walking around today in Home Depot.

-Just shy of 2 feet tall.

- in a 1.5 gallon nursery pot

-Had heavy wet organic substrate.

-24 dollars (no clue if this is decent or not but 24 bucks is cheap in my mind).

Took it and tossed him on the work bench to find a big ole root ball, I was suprised. I cleaned a majority of the old substrate and made sure what was left was lose.

Repotted in a 10.25-in Terra Cotta Flair Pot (really could of went bigger, that's a problem for next season).

50% Miracle-Gro cactus and succlent mix 50% 1/4 inch pumice

Don't plan on watering for a week to let the roots heal after the repot.

Still warm here for the next while so I'll toss him out in the morning sun then in for the evenings under the photon machine.

Picked up quite the specimen today. I'm thinking it will be over 20 feet tall in less that 2.54 years (repeating of course).

50/50 cactus and succlent mix & 1/4 inch pumice.

Repotted in a Pennington Cabo Flair 4.75 inch terracotta.

If these are anyone's jam and has some advice on feeding and growing them hard to get maximum fatness let me know

I was grabbing trees and shrubs because digging irrigation trenches never ends and saw these.

Saw this today! What a specimen, this is why I don't listen to the chop chop chop crowd!! Grow a monster, not a chumpy lil bush!!!

Just saw this at the hotel in San Diego.

After this little sissy got over transplant shock and tossed into MAXIMUM PHOTONS from the AZ sun in a very old unglazed pot on the brick porch she flowered.

Got this little guy at the end of May. Popped him in a 6in wide 3.5in deep unglazed terracotta pot. It's in 50/50 cactus & Succulent Mix and perlite. Once it started growing new growth and was not wobbly in the pot I started feeding Schultz 20-20-20 diluted to 1/4 strength. I keep it out in the big sun and water when it's dry.

- do you bring it in once temps reach 50° or below

- any better feed that just all purpose for the caudex

- anything else I'm missing?

I was all ready to get these going then work said not today! So I'll have to store them for a bit.

Just spread a thin layer of worm castings on today from my bin anticipating the afternoon thunder shower since today was watering day. Rain water is king

-Location: Coastal North Carolina

-Pot: Unglazed terra-cotta bowl, approximately 12 inches wide × 5.5 inches deep, elevated on a brick.

-Potted it up in 40% Miracle-Gro Indoor Cactus & Succulent Mix and 60% Miracle-Grow Perlite.

-Feed: Schultz all purpose plant food 20-20-20 diluted to 1/8 strength twice a month (see how this goes). So 1/4 a month might bump them rookie numbers up

-Sun: recently moved to maximum photons after getting it acclimitized.

Water: When its dry currently 3 or 4 days due to the -bid ole sun throwing down pure hate.

-Plan: buried caudex was approximately 5 inches or more across. It was repotted at approximately the same buried depth for continued growth. Continue to grow HARD for 2 seasons before looking at caudex. (Don't lift them puppies til you like that you see). Maybe prune at the start of next season time will tell.

Anyone feed their P****achypodium Saundersii? I was thinking of using a 1-7-6 feed at 1/4 strength so instead of 1 teaspoon per gallon a quarter teaspoon. Picture attached of the feed I use for other sucky lil succulents.

I keep this lil one out doors in Arizona. It sits in morning sun for about 4 or so hours a day. The unglazed clay pot is 6in wide and 3.5in deep. And it's usually on top of the table but today was watering day

43 days since I bought this guy from Lowes. It's been hanging out in the Arizona sun getting ALL the photons from sunrise until noon when it falls into the shade. Unfortunately, I listened to poor advice and raised right away instead of leaving the caudex buried like it was when I bought for a couple seasons to get it chunky. I think it still has potential to grow into a cool specimen with those sexy lil legs it has! The ole clay terra cotta pot is a hand made Mexican pot from around the 70s I believe.

I ordered seeds from this company, and got a few answers when I asked if anyone else has I'll be happy to share the replies and conversation with anyone!! And pow my post was removed...
