Hypothetical Question

What will happen if the average height of all men across the globe became 6ft and no one was short anymore ? Now what ?

Is it okay to like shorter women as a Tall guy

6’2M here… Recent trends on TikTok have been demonizing relationships between tall guys and shorter women. As a tall guy, I’ve noticed a pattern of how I date and mostly being attracted to shorter women. It’s not deliberate. I just noticed it when looking back at my dating history.
However, TikTok and a lot of other platforms have become increasingly hostile toward this dynamic, with some people even throwing around pedophile rhetoric. I’m in my 20s and in my freshman year of college, and I’ve always dated women my age or older, so I’m wondering what this trend is about.
Personally, I feel more masculine with shorter women, and it really has nothing to do with the claims people are making. So I’m wondering is this also the case for some here ?

Is Height Inflation real ?

Back in the day, people generally considered a 5’10” person to be tall. Now, considering today’s standards, especially when it comes to dating preferences, through multiple instances and one recently from a friend of mine .where a 6 ft guy is being called “average height.”and he was told he’s not tall enough. So I’m just wondering: is the world actually getting taller(which I doubt anyways), or are people becoming more superficial?
If 6 foot guys are now being referred to as average height, then what’s considered tall in the Western Hemisphere?.
I know heightism is a looked upon topic in our society even though it’s a real problem. Does this type of attitude needs calling out.

Heightism might be a thing

I’m a man in my early 20s and I’m about 6’2” (188 cm). I’m fairly average looking. Recently, I came across a few TikTok videos claiming that height has a huge impact on dating and attraction. Out of curiosity, I decided to test it for myself.
I bought a pair of 9 cm height-boosting insoles and wore them with high top boots sth like high top farmer boots that have fairly thick soles. Because I’m already tall and i have quite long arms it isn’t obvious that I’m wearing them. With the extra height, I’m around 197–198 cm (roughly 6’5½”–6’6”).
The difference in my interactions with women has been surprising. In clubs, I now get far more eye contact than before. Multiple women have approached me on their own, put their arms around my neck, and started dancing with me. There have even been nights where four or more women approached me throughout the evening. Which they would wanna be with me for hours and all on me…Before trying the height boosters, that rarely happened. If I approached someone, there was a much higher chance they would pull away or lose interest quickly. Mind you I’m 6’2 which is well above average even in the Netherlands where most tall people live. I’ve sort of gain an insecurity with this experiment. I’m still happy with my height but why’re people this shallow ?
What’s strange is that I’m still the exact same person. My face hasn’t changed, my personality hasn’t changed and I’m wearing similar clothes. The only real difference is that I’m several inches taller. Some women have even asked whether I’m foreign ?which I found unexpected. I’m sort of like perceived as a more sympathetic person. Which i am anyways.
On one hand, it’s been a positive experience because the increase in attention is undeniable. On the other hand, it made me question how much first impressions are influenced by something as simple as height. Has the world really become this shallow, or does height simply create some sort of stronger first impression that gives people more confidence to interact?
The downside is that wearing 9 cm height boosters is incredibly uncomfortable the pain is quite bad after a couple of hours dancing. After a couple of hours of dancing, my feet are in excruciating pain, so it’s not something I could realistically wear all night. Even so, the ROI in terms of social attention has been over the roof.
Overall, the experience has left me genuinely surprised. I’m still the same 6’2” man I was before, yet adding a few inches of height seems to have changed the way many people respond to me.
I’m still the same person same face, same attitude same pickup lines. It gotten weird the girls would even ask if I’m foreign ? Quite bizarre has the world gotten this shallow ?. Dancing with 9cm of height boosters of course gives me excruciating pain but the roi is really great but the thing is I can only wear it for a couple hours but after i did this I’m very concerned. i say the same thing I’ve said to girls and all of a sudden when I’m around 6’5-6 it’s somehow attracting Is the world this shallow I’m still the same 6’2 guy ?
