Anyone know which mod causes this bug where all npcs, including quest npcs, have all dialogue replaced?

Does anyone know which mod has been causing this? Occasionally, all npcs in a building are all changed to behave differently. They must be left clicked instead of interacted with, all given the same portrait, only have access to a couple dialogue options, and I am not given an option between tone. If there is a quest leading me to a character, that character will not continue or finish a quest with a monologue. Their flats will change textures occasionally as well, though I haven't noticed a pattern with that. Anyone know what could be causing this?

[Playstation 2] [2000-2005] Demo of two chibi-style sisters where one gets kidnapped by two men.

The game had two playable characters. A younger and older girl, I believe the older character had a mostly purple uniform with a cowl or bandana (maybe also carrying a scythe) while the younger was mostly orange. There was a character select in a white void (and possibly a cutscene also in this white void) where both of them were back to back. I recall it being a 3d platformer with a lot of bright green grass and foliage, I think there were parts with fog that gave drops a similar look to the white void.

At some point, you drop down to a wall or doorway that had some type of engravings on it. From here, it became a fight against one of the men if you were playing as the younger sister or a fight against both if you were the older one.

The two men reminded me of Marv and Harry from the movie Home Alone, with a shorter one wearing a headscarf while there was a thinner, broader one with spiky brown hair and a jutting chin.

This game had an early playstation look that was polygon heavy, enough so that I've been looking through all ps1 demo discs just to find it there. The characters all had large heads and anime-style eye design and proportions. I don't recall it being an rpg or having rpg mechanics.

I will begin searching through ps2 demo disc archives just to try an find it, though I'm becoming less and less certain that it actually originated from a demo. I still recall the game ending after this segment.
