Hi everyone,
Does anyone know of a bracelet with integrated/curved end links that fits the Glycine Airman SST first and second pics?
I’m not looking for straight end links or mesh bracelets.
As you can see in the last photo, one Airman SST with an integrated bracelet around 2006 - same case, but unfortunately that bracelet is no longer available.
I’m wondering if another Glycine model—or even another brand—might have a bracelet that happens to fit this case.
Any successful swaps or ideas would be greatly appreciated.
Thank you!
Hi everyone,
I have a Glycine Airman GL0074, a discontinued model that I rarely wear. Although I really like the original mesh bracelet, its 22mm-to-22mm width makes it feel a bit too wide on my wrist.
Personally, I think a 22mm-to-20mm or even 22mm-to-18mm taper would suit the watch much better. Another point is that, despite being exceptionally well made, the mesh bracelet is quite shiny, which makes it feel a little less versatile for casual wear (mesh last photos).
So I bought a beads-of-rice bracelet (first 6 photos), also in 22mm-to-22mm, but I ended up with the same “belt around the wrist” feeling because of its constant width.
I then tried a different BOR bracelet (next 7 photos) with a more unusual design, featuring angular center links, this time with a 22mm-to-20mm taper towards the clasp.
I’d really appreciate your opinions on which bracelet you think suits the watch better.
Have a great week, everyone!
Custom BOR or Mesh original?
Have a great weekend and good health to all.
Good afternoon, friends.
I had posted this watch before, but I immediately deleted the post because I wanted to show it with the customized BOR bracelet installed.
This is the Glycine SST Pearl GL0074. It comes with a mesh bracelet, which you will see in the photos. It was an incredible find in Italy, as it was still completely factory sealed. Because of that, I was concerned about removing the original mesh bracelet and risking a scratch on the lugs or something similar.
However, I decided to move forward. I bought a BOR bracelet and had the clasp customized with a figure that I designed myself: a compass rose, with the Glycine logo in the center and the word “GMT” in the background. I had the clasp engraved in a way that would look as natural as possible, as if Glycine itself had done it. To me, it came out looking very natural.
Even though I protected everything with Kapton tape, no scratches occurred externally. However, on the inside of the lugs, the traces are there (last pic). Sometimes I ask myself why I keep coming up with these modifications 🤦🏻, and I even regret it from time to time.
Opinions about the BOR bracelet are very welcome.
Good afternoon friends.
I made a custom watch band BOR for my SST GL0074 Pearl. I haven't installed it yet. The photo below shows it superimposed on the Mesh. I created a compass rose design, with the Glycine logo in the center and GMT below. Opinions on the watch band for the Pearl SST are welcome.
A little bit of oxidized bronze, natural organic patina. Have a good week everyone.
Happy Sunday everyone,
with natural patina, the oxidized Bronzo GL0167.
I’m working on a strap/bracelet project for my Glycine Airman GL0074 (white dial), and I’d really appreciate opinions.
The watch already comes on a genuinely beautiful mesh bracelet (Pics 1, 2), very well made and visually coherent with the case, but I’d also like to explore a different personality for it.
I recently started considering the WatchGecko Premium Beads of Rice bracelet.
Part of the reason for choosing the WatchGecko is the hope of getting noticeably better machining and finishing quality compared to the many cheaper BOR bracelets available online.
I made a quick visual mock-up AI (not perfect): Pics 3, 4.
I would appreciate opinions 😊
Thank You
Have a good Sunday and a great week everyone.
🙏🏻🍀🫂
Good morning everyone,
Wishing you all a wonderful weekend filled with health and peace.
I’m sharing some photos of my Glycine Airman G0167 Bronze with natural patina. There’s something special about bronze watches — the more you wear them, the more character they develop. And once you own a bronze piece, it’s hard not to fall in love with it.
This is a natural, organic page and post — just sharing my watch and enjoying the hobby with you all.
Best regards to everyone.
Good afternoon everyone,
I see a small distance between the rubber sole and the back part. It also seems to have some depth. I also see white marks that could be anything, but I'm wondering if it could be Loctite super glue. I don't have the boots in hand, only the photos. Has this sole been permanently altered?
I ask for permission from the members to make my first post in this sub. This is my first Glycine, the GL0074.
I bought it completely factory sealed, brand new, with all its original plastics, from a former employee and collector—essentially straight from the store. Manufactured in 2017, it’s almost like a small time capsule.
I’ve always found the Airman models beautiful.
I’m still trying to build a relationship with the 22x22 mesh bracelet. The build quality is superb; it has a strong presence and a lot of shine, though at times I find it a bit too wide and somewhat flashy.
I know most people prefer the blue dial, but this off-white pearlescent one has its own charm. It was an incredible find, especially since this model has been discontinued—I’m not sure for how long.
I sent the details to Glycine, and they confirmed it was manufactured in 2017. However, I still don’t know what’s inside—ETA or Sellita.
Thank you for taking the time to read this. Cheers to everyone.
