I realize that some of the larger cities don’t allow fireworks at all. My question is about smaller towns that require a “permit” to use personal fireworks on their own property. I think this is a severe overreach by cities to drum up money. Claremore for example, had the permits last year but decided not to enforce them this year. A nearby Tulsa town, Catoosa, is ‘enforcing’ them. I’m doing some legwork ahead of an anticipated fine or legal action against myself for non purchase of a ‘permit.’ Are there other small towns requiring permits you know of? Anyone have a deeper experience in the true legality of requiring such a permit? Thanks.
