I don’t respect my husband

me and my husband got married 3 months ago. I love my husband and want it to work. i moved cities for my husband and quit my job to do so. he insisted I do this. I asked him multiple times leading up to it if he was sure, I offered to keep my job in my home city and move when I got a job. after moving in, my husband did not offer me any money. I eventually got the guts to ask a month later. we have fought about this multiple times- nasty fights. he has now taken accountability and apologised. I love him and I know he loves me. since then he always makes sure I’m ok for money.

it still gets me I had to ask. I feel like he only gives me money because I brought it up, like he doesn’t really want to, like he sees me as a burden.

I forgive him and appreciate his apology but I feel as though I’m lost some respect for him. I feel like I resent him.

how do I get over this? do I speak to him about it? am I valid in feeling this way or am I holding onto things too much?

Am I the problem?

Hi all honestly I just want some clarity. I got married to my husband in the summer. I left my job and moved to be with him. this was 3 months ago. I get money was tight after the wedding and he’d Been working hard but he would just get home and go to bed. Is it asking too much to want flowers every now and again or even just a chat in bed or anything at all? my husband is a great guy but I always seem to feel unhappy. I feel as he’s just not romantic- he fell asleep on our wedding night whilst i was in the shower. he barely told me I looked good. he expected me to go to my own doctors appointment, to sort out my cars MOT. I had to bring up a conversation about money which lead to a huge fight- I don’t have an income and he didn’t ask if I needed any until I did. We’re usually ok but little things happen to trigger me and make me remember things he’s done that upset me like last night I had period pain and told him and he just dismissed me. I know I didn’t ask him to do anything specific for me but am I crazy to wish he’d ask me if I was ok or give me a hug etc??? I also had what I thought was a panic attack last night and woke him up even though he had work in the morning. I felt so guilty and was so apologetic but in that moment I just needed his support. he started to give me lectures on what I should and shouldn’t be doing advice etc but I just needed a hug which I told him. I didn’t say anything just continuously apologised for disrupting his sleep but felt upset.

am I the problem? Honestly I just need some insight. Do I expect too much? am I driving him away?

Husband threw money in my face

I left my job and family to move across the country to be with my new husband Approx 2 months ago. i have been very transparent- I told my husband I’d spent the last of any money I had on the wedding, I told him I was flat broke and wouldn’t be able to help Until I get a job- I told him im not sure how long it’ll take me to get a job- he said this was ok. We haven’t gone on a honeymoon- he’s upset he hasnt been able to take me on one- I reassure him that it’s not important we’ll go when we can. I have constantly reassured him that expensive gestyres etc aren’t important And that I just want the little things. after a month of being there I had to ask for money as he never offered- I needed the money for basic hygiene products - it wasn’t much money. money is tight which I understand. I’ve been mindful- only asking for money if I’m absolutely desperate and only for necessities. I tried to discuss budgets/ financial clarity with my husband so I could help with the situation were in. He ended up being triggered as I also mentioned he should offer as I’ve been clear on having no money and how else did he think I was going to get money. He Reacted with anger, ended up throwing cash at me, whilst shouting at me to go buy all the iced coffees and do as much shopping as my heart desires. I have told him I will never take a penny from him again. To add to this, he is never romantic toward me, never holds doors/ surprises me etc. he Barely complemented me on our wedding day. He fell asleep the night of our wedding as it was my time of month. I had a hospital appointment, he suggested I go alone. Meanwhile he is driving my car as he can’t afford one at present- i offered it as I’m out of work and have no use for it. He wanted to drive my car and I get public transport which i have no means to pay for. the list goes on. I’ve never been so unhappy- I feel like ive given up my life to be with my husband and he makes no effort and talks about his own stressors mainly finance when I bring up lack of romance in our honeymoon period etc. I’m so unsure if I should continue with this marriage. I have never felt so disrespected before. I want to give it a go as it’s only been two months I just can’t get over him throwing money at me.

Surely this is not ok?

We got into a car accident while he was drunk. We’re both ok but I really hurt my shoulder. He never asked me if I was ok or how my shoulder was. I could barely get dressed. I called him out on this and he said he thought I was fine. I was really upset about this. He even said ‘how do you think I feel, I’ve lost my license’. is he a narcissist?

Newlyweds

Myself and my partner of 3 years got married 6 weeks ago having never lived together before. I have moved cites, quit my good job and left family and friends behind just to live with him. To be completely honest I noticed early on in the relationship he struggles with accountability. He always promised change and I believe him. last weekend we went to my home city for the first time since the wedding. On the drive there I was worried about being late and my husband said “I thought the time you suggested was a bit tight” which I responded saying “ if you thought it was tight you should’ve corrected me”- I had suggested the time for us to leave and he didn’t say anything. For the whole car ride there and back he didn’t speak to me, I asked him what was wrong and he said he was concentrating on driving. He always drives and takes calls, he even did on that same journey. I then brought his up, his response was “I didn’t speak to you as I thought you didnt want to speak, I told him I tried to make conversation and asked him what was wrong. He then sarcastically said “ it’s all my fault then”. I shut down at this point as I knew it was just going to lead to another fight, like the many fights we’ve had every time I raise an issue. I’m wondering if I’ve made a huge mistake marrying this man, I can never ever seem to get a genuine apology for how’s he’s made me feel. Any advice?
