What’s the best way to answer these in interview?

I’ve been at a job in tech sales for around 18 months and looking to move on due to a bad manager. What‘s the best way to answer why are you looking to move companies if you’re doing well there? Also, I keep getting stuck trying to explain how I build pipeline for the month. I know how to do it, but explaining gets me rambling every time. What’s the best way to summarise this?

How to throw a snake into the grass.

I’m currently in a job I don’t mind, but the manager is awful. And if I question him, he retaliates a few days later by doing various things to either put me down, or make work harder. I’m pretty sure he has a smear campaign on me too. I’ve spoken to upper management and HR, sent emails detailing events and nothing is done. He is not even competent at his job as a reason to keep him. What strategies have you used to finally beat the snake at his own game? I am looking for another job, but the market is so tough!

Is this burnout?

I’ve been going through a tough time at work with a terrible manager for months now, and it’s exhausting. For weeks, I have been feeling too exhausted to go to the gym, tidy my apartment, even wash my hair. I wake up exhausted, and all I want to do is sleep. Especially on weekends, even when it’s a beautiful day outside. Is this burnout?

Mojo has left the building.

Curious, how does everyone stay motivated job hunting? I feel like I’m on a spin cycle in the washing machine and it’s draining the life out of me. Apply, interview, deny, repeat.

Job hunting fatigue

I’ve had 2nd and 3rd interviews this week for two different roles, and both I got the dreaded ‘thanks for applying’ email. I keep thinking it wasn’t meant to be, but it’s exhausting! When they say they’ll keep your record on file for other opportunities, do they actually mean that? And would you consider a job that turned you down the first time?

Everyday I’m hustling

Looking for some inspiration to get out of corporate and be my own boss. Has anyone successfully had a side hustle that allowed them to produce enough income to leave the hamster wheel behind? What was it and how long did it take?

Snakes and ladders

Why in corporate do leaders keep incompetent managers when they are not producing results, and not contributing to the team? A snake in a suit is the ideal description, always the victim, gaslights and triangulates to deflect any attention to their inadequacy.

Should I quit?

Would you quit with nothing to go to if your boss is toxic and so is the company keeping him there? I know it’s not the best decision, but I have never felt so exhausted and frustrated in my life.
