They’ve been developing this spacecraft for almost 4 years, and it’s basically their only source of revenue and survival, yet they keep postponing the launch over and over again. Now they say Q1 2027, but where are the updates? No real testing footage, no meaningful progress updates, nothing that shows this thing is actually getting closer to flying. And this company went from an $11B market cap to around $300M. What the actual f is this failure? How is this company still allowed to be publicly traded? This shit should be delisted.

Today, Redwire was announced as one of 15 awardees to a $981M max-value multiple-award IDIQ under Space Systems Command, providing support to space and ground-based engineering activities to enhance test, evaluation, and training operations through 2032.

I would love to hear your thoughts

I’m trying to understand the valuation gap between Redwire (RDW) and Ondas (ONDS), and I’d genuinely like to hear both the bull and bear case.

Here are a few things that stand out to me:
ONDS
~$4.0B market cap
~$50.7M annual revenue
RDW
~$2.1B market cap
~$335M annual revenue (before the full contribution from Edge Autonomy)
2026 revenue guidance of ~$450–500M
Recently acquired Edge Autonomy, adding a proven tactical UAV business
Two recent follow-on U.S. Navy/Marine Corps orders worth approximately $20M and $21.5M
Growing backlog and expanding manufacturing capacity for UAS, gimbals, and space systems
What I’m struggling to understand is the valuation.

Even before ONDS’ most recent acquisition, it was already trading at a substantially higher valuation than RDW, so I don’t think that acquisition alone explains today’s gap.
It’s also not just ONDS. I’ve noticed a similar pattern across several publicly traded space companies. Many space and defense names seem to receive much higher revenue multiples than RDW, despite RDW having significantly larger revenue, a diversified space and defense business, and continued contract wins.

So what am I missing?
Is it the SPAC legacy?
Profitability concerns?
Integration risk after the Edge Autonomy acquisition?
Management credibility?
Or does the market simply assign much higher valuation multiples to pure-play drone and defense companies?

I’m not trying to argue that RDW should trade at a specific valuation. I’m genuinely trying to understand why the market continues to value it at such a significant discount relative to peers.

انا أشتغل في مجال المالية، وقبل أقل من سنة، أخذت قرار جريء وتركت وظيفة مستقرة جدا في جهة كبرى.
طمع وطموح وبحث عن مسار مهني أقوى وتحديات جديدة. وانتقلت لشركة استشارات عالمية كبيرة، طبعا وقت المقابلات وعدوني باشياء كثيرة وبشغل وخبرة نوعية ومشاريع ضخمة. حتى قالوا لي إنك بتكون على مشروع مدته سنتين، وهذا كان سبب أساسي لقبولي لعرضهم. لكن الصدمة في الواقع بكمل سنة معاهم صفر مشاريع حقيقية ما تم تسكيني رسميا على أي مشروع حقيقي فعليا ما اسوي اي شيء والمشاريع شكلية سعودة حطوني على مشروع شبه منتهي بس عشان يثبتون للعميل إن عندهم كفاءات سعودية وبعدها رجعوني على ال Bench حاليا نسبة Utilization على الورق شبه معدومة وأنا عارف كيف تنتهي هالقصص في هالشركات إما يرمونك في مشروع شكلي ثاني أو يستغنون عنك بحجة إنك مو قاعد تجيب لهم فلوس مع إنه أبدا مو ذنبي وما عطوني فرصة أشتغل. نفسيا ومهنيا تأثرت جدا لاني كنت شغال زين بوظيفتي القديمة وبالوضع الحالي احس اني رجعت لورا مهنيا.
ومحتار جدا في خطوتي الجاية هل أكلم شركتي القديمة وأشوف احتمالية رجوعي لهم ولا ابدا في التقديم وأصبر إلين يجيني أي عرض رغم إني واصل لمرحلة ودي أستقيل اليوم قبل بكرة سؤالي للي مروا بتجارب مشابهة وكيف اصلا ابرر خروجي السريع سواء بالمقابلات الجديدة ولا شركتي القديمة بدون ما أطلع بصورة سيئة.
