How does the super states maintain control in undeveloped countries?

Hey, just a thought, and ik it's not that deep but it's just a bit interesting to think. In a world like 1984 or at least a government like the superstates were to exist, then how would they be able to monitor people in undeveloped countries. Take south America for example where there's just huge amounts of pure jungle and wilderness, or Africa. How can big brother really maintain control in a country like Colombia or Brazil and others

Can anybody tell me about WA State?

Hey! I've been doing a lot of research into Mynamar and the spring revolution and it's extremely interesting and complex, but one of the things i don't find much information about is WA State. I know it's an autonomous region within Mynamar that's neutral, but also funds militias, and they also have ties with china and serves as a mediator. It's the strongest ethnic army in Mynamar and they are Han Chinese. But besides that I can't find much. I've heard allegations of them being narco states and facilitating chinese crime, and other stuff and im not sure if its true or not. I'm just genuinely curious about the region and wondering if anybody knows anything else that I don't, and if your living in WA state, how is it like? Where can I find more information about it?

Any good revolutionary war/16-17th century/US Civil war mods?

Since it was the 4th of July, what are any good mods that time place during, around, or shortly after America's war for independence? Or mods about/takes place around the American Civil War? I know of TFR, I'm talking specifically stuff that has American content

How many militias are there in Mynamar?

Been trying to learn more about the conflict and Jesus christ I've spent 2 days (about like 12 hours) and I've barely scratched the surface. I'm still learning about new stuff just lurking around on the sub. It's incredibly interesting especially how some of the militias managed by themselves for ages

[REQUEST] [STEAM] R.U.S.E.™

I am a massive military fan, im talking 400 hours on HOI4, 400 hours on ARMA with all the WW2 DLCs, when i got my hands on Battlefield 1 I completed the campaign the same day and only stopped because I couldnt get the multiplayer to work. Loved total conflict resistance and tis campaign mechanic where its focus is on logistics. You need x amount of rifles + ammunition combined with gear for them to carry it + manpower, currency, etc. I just love all things military and logistics and have been obsessed with it ever since elementary school. Now, im a broke college student and I do got money but that money is going to college. Every month my college takes about $700 give or take? So basically, I work every week and get my paycheck for it all to go directly into college and whatever is left is saved so eventually i can have some money left around to maybe buy a game or use for whatever I want. So every few months I have money for myself. That being said, I have like a fixation on military things and my biggest fixation is military games focused on managing, creating, and organizing battalions into conventical conflicts, im talking games like WARNO or Wargame: Red Dragon. Thing is, like I said earlier. Im a broke boy, so how I went around this was using mods like for example, HOI4's TNO mod, TFR, etc. Basically diving into alternative history to get my fix or learning about radio communication systems in the 1950s, basically im a nerdy guy okay I just get obsessively curious if that makes sense and I channel that into self study or playing games or watching like 6 hour videos about history while I do stuff like homework or chores. I dont know how to explain it but I just get so excited when it comes to these things which brings me to the game R.U.S.E.. This game looks so fucking awesome and I have so many wishlisted military games I'd love to try out when I get the opportunity to but man R.U.S.E. just seems to cool. Its not like games like command ops 2, its on a 3d panel with pretty good graphics. You manage infantry divisions, aircraft, mechanized and motor and industries and the map just looks so sick! Ive been eyeballing this game like a little kid eyeballs cartoonishly large lolipops. So if anybody is willing to give me this game, you will make my entire summer! Im in summer break right now so I got the time to sink a lot in.

Anybody know where to find more information on border blasters/Mexican radio stations?

I have a fixation in the 1950s and it's technologies. One of the things I've been wanting to learn a lot about is how was it like living in the 50s in Latin America. I've asked my grandparents and been doing a lot of self study and recently I discovered something called border blasters where way back in Mexico they would have radios blast at night and it's length was so far that you could be in Europe and hear it's music. I've been wanting to learn a lot more but can't find much information about it. Maybe I'm just looking wrong but if anybody knows anything about this can tell me about it or point me to a direction then please do so. I must satisfy my curiosity

Is it only just me or has it felt like nothing has changed?

I remember coming out the front doors of my elementary school in fifth grade being so hyped about fallout 76, telling all my friends how awesome it's going to be and how they should check it out. I'd literally never shut up about it, even when I went to kiss and ride. Now I'm in college and soon to enlist in the army and I feel like nothing has really changed in terms of Bethesda and progress

Been binging this PVZGW2 recently and its every other round where someone hacking is either instantly killing everybody or transforming everybody into something and then instantly killing us. Or even more annoyingly, they change the maps so I have to wait a few minutes for a load up just to be launched to another map entirely. Anybody know how to avoid this?
