Is a Carl Zeiss Jena Pancolar MC 50mm f1.8 worth it if you already have an Auto Rikenon 50mm f1.7?

I know CZJ lenses are highly regarded for their great sharpness, micro contrast, color rendition and build quality. I already have two M42 lenses: An Auto Rikenon 50mm f1.7 and a Helios 44M-5 58mm f2. I'm considering getting a Pancolar to add to my vintage lenses to use for shooting my Sony FX2. Would you say it's worth getting one despite being the same focal length?

Which one of these two M42-E adapters should I get?

I have a few M42 lenses (Helios 44M-5 58mm f2, Auto Rikenon 50mm f1.7) and I wanted to get a Fujica 55mm f1.8 later, which I know has a small difference in the mount and some adapters aren't fully compatible with it.

I want to use them with a Sony FX2, and I found these two options that seem a little bit different. I'd like to know which one is better/more updated and the most durable.

Thanks

Should I service my camera? Focus blur issue in Ricoh KR5 Super II + Rikenon P 50mm F2

I've been using this camera for quite a while getting really good results, but every now and then some pictures come with a slight misfocus or blur like it wasn't properly focused when I'm sure it was. This also happens when focusing to infinity, sometimes the background seems blurry and not sharp enough, which makes me think that could also be a problem with the lens or the mirror slapping too hard.

The first images were taken at 1/125 with a roll of ADOX Scala 50 developed as a normal B/W negative. The color images were taken at 1/60 with a roll of Fuji Eterna Vivid 160T cross processed in C41.

Is the Yashica Yashinon DS 28mm f2.8 (M42) a good wide lens?

I asked around in r/VintageLenses and nobody gave me a concrete answer so I'll try here. I want to get a good wide angle lens for my Ricoh Singlex TLS and a local store sells this Yashinon lens. I couldn't find too much information online about it, only that it belongs in the middle category between the Yashinon DX and the DS-M series. I want to use this lens for street photography and landscapes, but I don't know if it's really worth it compared to other models like a Pentax Super Takumar.

Similarity between guitar sound in 'Actual Brutal Facts' to King Crimson's 'One Time'

I know the main influence in this track is the dark atmospheric trip-hop sound of Massive Attack among other artists, but if you pay attention to the guitar tone at the intro, i feel its quite similar to "One Time" from King Crimson's album THRAK.

What other not so obvious musical influences do you identify across the album?

What's the veredict on the Yashica Auto Yashinon 28mm DS (M42)?

I've only found a few reviews of this lens online and sparse information on its quality. It seems to belong to the premium line of prime Yashica lenses that came for the Yashica TL and TL Electro X among others but I couldn't find too much information in terms of its performance and overall sharpness.

I currently don't have any wide angles and have two M42 cameras, so I wanted to get one that was high quality.

Would you recommend this lens?

What were the films that were shot with the famous Contax Zeiss Distagon 28mm f2 "Hollywood" lens that gave it its nickname?

As I stated above, I can't find any substantial evidence of this specific lens being used on certain Hollywood productions around the time it was being sold. Are there any confirmed examples of shots/films that used it during the 70s or 80s?

What were the films that were shot with the famous Contax Zeiss Distagon 28mm f2 "Hollywood" lens that gave it its nickname?

I know this lens and its Pentax counterpart are quite well known for its cinematic qualities and rendering, but are there any actual records of it being used in Hollywood productions during the 70s or 80s?

I coundn't find anything about specific movies that used them to film certain shots.

Does anyone know why this specific lens earned that name?

I already checked a few online databases of known and tested radioactive lenses and this specific lens doesn't show on any list as far as I'm aware, unlike the Auto Rikenon 55mm f1.4 which is made with thorium.

However I noticed that it has a distinct yellow colour in the glass coating which often indicates that the lens is radioactive. But I can't find any information of other people that have the same lens and if it's actually radioactive or not.

Does anyone have an idea on why it would have this yellowish tint?

I recently bought and sent this camera to get a CLA, I tested it with a new roll and two brand new LR44 batteries and halfway through the roll the shutter suddenly stopped working as intended and only fired in Bulb mode regardless of the chosen speed.

The camera previously fired at the fixed 1/1000 backup mechanical speed, now it refuses to do it even when I take the batteries out.
I tested it in manual and AE shutter priority and it seemed to be working fine up until the 20th picture aprox.

Do you know what could be the issue? Thanks
