Cities can pretty much do whatever they want to trees in the greenway, right? :(

I'm just so sad, the city is taking my LAST greenway tree. It's about 45 years old.

There used to be 5 trees in front of my house, now there are going to be zero (except I did plant 2 more much shorter tree/bushes, see below).

My house progressively gets hotter and hotter and honestly it just looks like ... blight? It went from a beautiful tree-lined street to hot concrete and emptiness.

They *said* the tree presents a danger due to it's health but really I think it's just because it's up in the power lines. It is visually healthy-- beautiful. The energy company has trimmed the branches around the word for 25 years but now I guess that's too much for them.

But I bet this isn't a fight I could ever win

(What really bothers me is they said I could plant new smaller trees in the greenway but 3 years later (now) there are different personnel threatening to "check with zoning" regarding my new baby trees, too.)

Does anyone know how tree trimmers deal with animals in the tree before taking it down?

My city is AGAIN getting rid of a tree in my greenway (part that they own between sidewalk/road). We had FIVE trees here and now we have this ONE left.

Anyway last night I saw a raccoon in it, then he went inside a hole in it.

Like, they don't just chop it down and kill it do they?

Unlikeable narrator like Yesteryear and A Good Person

I read Yesteryear prior and them someone suggested A Good Person as a decent follow up to it because it was yet another unlikeable narrator .

This book was the perfect combo of unlikeable narrator, millennial/gen Z(?) angst, social media commentary and just generally fun.

Anyone know something else along these lines?

I'm looking for irreverence, nothing too heavy. Slightly funny, slightly infuriating.

Thinking of renting a boat or jet skis like everyone else does. I have a kayak while I'm visiting but someone said it can be a little rough for kayaks.

We've never seen a dolphin before and would really like to :/

Are there certain places that are better than others? I highly doubt I can feed them lol? Idk sorry

I'm worried about the parking, we've got only one day to explore it.

If it's full, are there other options. How about on Sundays-- is that better?

Or are there any shuttle options?

Also honestly I'm seeing people talk about jetties and I don't know what is a jetty but apparently I'm supposed to really look at them because they're pretty cool?

Wondering if anyone knows if CLR is ok for the glass? I'll try not to get it near the gaskets? I would then rinse it and run a rinse cycle so it doesn't smell up the clothes

But I'm worried.....

Any other suggestions?
