Why is voice constantly unreachable?

Over the past month, the voice functionality in Gboard stops working for long periods. Tapping the microphone just causes the error message attached here.

There is nothing I can do but wait it out. Sometimes this takes seconds; other times it takes hours.

And restarting the phone has no effect.

This new problem is becoming a bigger incontinence the longer it stays around.

Baseball Reference

I just noticed that Baseball Reference is recording the WPBL stats!

https://www.baseball-reference.com/register/league.cgi?id=b910b711

I had been assuming that that site would not carry this league's stats — and I have said as much on several occasions. Having been *very* annoyed at Baseball Reference's ignoring of Baseball United, I girded myself for the same annoyed feeling here.

So to see the inclusion in Baseball Reference of WPBL stats is a pleasant surprise.

triple trick play: possible?

I sometimes hear announces saying that the home team has successfully prevented the road team from earning the equaliser point, or that the road team has clinched the equaliser point.

These claims seem to be based on the assumption that a team can get at most six trick plays in an inning. So does this mean that it is not allowed to go for a triple trick play?

If a player tips the ball up, and the second player tips it as well, before the ball is caught by a third player, does this not count as a triple trick play?

players not behaving rationally

It really bothers me that the players do not act in a way that shows that they have an awareness of the clock.

I just finished watching the Bananas' most recent game, as the visitors against the Party Animals in Oregon.

The game went into the 8th inning with the Bananas trailing 4-1. Then the Bananas scored seven runs in the 8th inning.

The clock was down to only a few minutes; if the clock were to run out during the bottom of the 8th inning, then the Bananas' seven runs in the top of the inning would be converted into points, and they would be leading 8-4, with three or fewer outs to go to win the game. The announcers even mentioned that the clock could run out.

But the Bananas inexplicably did not play any more slowly than usual in the bottom of the 8th, and so the clock did not run out.

Honestly, this is infuriating. I have had several discussions with people about how legitimate the competition in this league is. I consistently take the position that the competition is real; and I am having a great deal of fun following the Bananas and the rest of the league.

But when players refuse to act in their team's interest, that makes me doubt my own argument, and makes me wonder whether I should pay so much attention to this.

opening day games still not up?

I was able to enjoy last season on a delayed basis, by going through the games on the YouTube channel. I finished last season just in time for the start of the current season.

Last night I was waiting all evening for the opening day games to appear on the channel. As of noon Eastern today, they still are not up there.

Does anyone know how long it typically is before completed games are put onto the league's YouTube channel?

rules question: trick pitches

Am I correct to think that trick pitches do not get added to the trick play total?

Also, staying on the issue of trick plays: I really wish that the score bug would show the trick plays total at all times.
