It's been like a year I didn't do game development
I'm back now, and mostly doing it as a hobby. I'm not planning on selling a game, trying to get into a career, or whatsoever. I currently created a simple first person project in Godot xD

I'm working a hobby project with C++, so I decided CMaking.. Bad idea.
I've done the installation part in a secondary hard drive, and then decided to update my environment variables.
I restarted my PC, and after trying to run "cmake --version" it didn't work.
I ran the following command :
$env:Path += ";D:\Program Files\CMake\bin"
IT WORKED PERFECTLY.
... After a while I just broke my build (bad dependencies and stuff, my fault here)
Cmake magically stopped working when trying to run another build. YAY. Tired of CMake's path instability. (Running the commands with & "path" are working ofc lol)
I think having hobbies related to engineering in general are bad when you're some kind of engineer. From depression to depression. (I'll only stop for a little while since coding is like giving birth. It hurts like crazy, but after a while you're like "okay let's do it again!!")
So I got an idea.
I was writing on LinkedIn and then got many posts ideas. Now my bloc note is full and it's kinda disturbing me.
I'm planning to create a simple mobile app where I can write many draft posts, and publish those directly on LinkedIn without going back and forth every time, or simply forget
If I'm really going to build this it will be completely free because I don't have the time to handle all the marketing stuff.
What do you think tbh ?

I'd like to get into get into freelance, I'm trying to verify my identity but the code isn't arriving. I've been trying for two days!
I live in Algeria btw
I vibe coded a platform that helps recruiters sort candidates' resumes with AI without all the migration costs, and helps find the atypic candidate that everyone keeps missing.
Well, after doing some outreach in LinkedIn I did get answers (even through I've been ghosted by most), but to be honest I feel like recruiters are really busy
Like REALY REALY busy.
I'm just at the testing phase to see if it would really fit the market. 5 people agreed to test. But it's been months now, no one actually did. They keep answering late and stuff. And to be honest I feel like losing time, energy and potential chasing more testers.
I feel like stagnating more then anything else. Everything except productive.
Before all this I originally wanted to be a Data Engineer. It wasn't just a "dream" actually, and it's not all about the crazy salaries. It's really something I'm naturally good at when I discovered it last year. Teachers at the university even noticed this, after some talk about some of what I know in the field they asked me why I'm not doing some freelancing or some stuff like that since the demand is high internationally. I said I'm still studying.
To be honest with you they're not the ones who convicted me to return, it's been a month or so I'm studying again. Formed myself on Fabric lately, I'm passing the DP-700 exam this July, and I'm building a project that solves a real world scenario and simulates a production environment. And I'll try getting a work-study program or some shit like that, and find a tech company that would sign my contract or some stuff
I'm trying to get into freelancing also. I posted a come up service this morning where I'm cleaning max 10k rows with business rules for 15 bucks, including a free python script for the free 3 costumers.
And sooo I really think I'll be totally invisible and won't get any reviews or whatsoever (I put 15 bucks cuz we can't go any lower on the platform LOL). I really don't know how to handle that part, l'm a bit stressed and feel really lost. I need to be oriented by someone. I'm 19 btw
Working on my Data Engineering project on Fabric while preparing for the DP-700 exam.
Instead of having only one source in CSV, I simulated a production environment by generating a script that creates a logic continuation of that source in an OLTP Database, with 3NF, schema evolution. So the goal of this project is to deliver Data for the analytical team (even if they're inexistant idc lol) from both sources, taking into account the migration
I'm making sure to guarantee governance, lineage, monitoring, dynamic data masking and security
I'm looking to connect with recruiters, or others from the space!
Building a Fabric portfolio project !!
Working on my first end-to-end Data Engineering project on Fabric. I'm also making sure to guarantee governance, lineage, monitoring, dynamic data masking and security (RLS, CLS, OLS)
I'm really excited!

Fabric is really easy to handle. Like it's been already two weeks I guess and I feel like it's the first time I'm being familiar with a complete ecosystem.
I'm feeling kinda optimistic about the exam as long as a bottle of water is allowed. But I don't think honestly just staying in my room revising concepts and doing some practice alone, without talking to anyone, would benefit me in any way.
I'd like to connect. Does anyone have any Microsoft Fabric group, or data engineering in general ? I'm available on any social media
