How do you appraise artworks? Can someone explain the process?

Hi everyone! I’m currently working with an artwork collection and I’m interested in learning how artworks are properly appraised.

If you have experience with art appraisal, museum collections, or art valuation, may I ask what the usual process is?

I’d especially like to know:

  • What information or documentation is needed
  • How the artist, provenance, condition, medium, and size are considered
  • How the artwork’s market value is determined
  • Whether comparable sales are used
  • Who is qualified to conduct a formal appraisal
  • What makes an appraisal acceptable for inventory, insurance, or institutional records

I’m trying to understand the process properly rather than simply estimating the value. Any advice, resources, or examples of how you approach an appraisal would be greatly appreciated. Thank you!

Could Someone Run My Prompt in Claude?

I know this might sound like a silly request, but I was wondering if anyone with a Claude Pro account would be willing to help me.

I'm currently using the free version, and I have a fairly large prompt for enhancing an Excel Artwork Transfer Tracker into a professional artwork relocation management dashboard. Unfortunately, the free account can't handle the full request.

If anyone is willing to run my prompt in Claude and send me the output, I'd be incredibly grateful. I'll provide the prompt—I just need help processing it.

Thank you so much in advance! 😊

Power Automate Flow for Auto-Cancelling Unconfirmed Reservations

Hi everyone,

I'm building a Desk Reservation system using Power Apps, SharePoint, and Power Automate.

My reservation form uses dropdown lists in Power Apps that are connected to a SharePoint list. I would like to know if Power Automate can detect when a reservation has been created from those dropdown selections and then automatically cancel the reservation if the user does not confirm it within 1 hour.

My current idea is:

  1. User selects a desk and submits the reservation.
  2. A record is created in SharePoint with a Status column set to "Pending".
  3. Power Automate waits 1 hour.
  4. If the Status is still "Pending" (not confirmed by the user), the flow automatically deletes the reservation or changes the status to "Cancelled".
  5. If the user confirms before the hour expires, the reservation remains active.

Has anyone implemented something similar? What would be the best approach in Power Automate? Should I use a Delay action, Scheduled Flow, or another method?

Any suggestions or best practices would be greatly appreciated. Thank you!

Need Help Exporting SharePoint List with Embedded Pictures to Excel

Hi everyone, I’m new to using SharePoint Lists and I’d like to ask for suggestions.

I have a SharePoint List with pictures attached, and I’m trying to export it together with the actual images included in the file. I already tried exporting to Excel, but it only exports the image links instead of showing the pictures themselves.

What method or workaround are you using to export SharePoint List data with the pictures already visible or embedded in the file?

Any tips or recommendations would really help. Thanks!

Power Apps + SharePoint List for Archive with Images

Hello everyone! I’m new to exploring Power Apps and I would like to ask for suggestions.

I currently have a SharePoint List that contains my artworks, including images and artwork details. I’m wondering if it’s possible to use Power Apps mainly for viewing, searching, and displaying a summary of each artwork.

One issue I encountered is that whenever I export my SharePoint List to Excel, the pictures are not included only the image links appear.

Would Power Apps allow me to:
• View and search artworks easily
• Display the actual images from SharePoint
• Export the data together with the pictures (not just links)

I would really appreciate any advice, recommendations, or sample setups. Thank you!

Hi everyone! Just curious — how many organizations or companies are still actively using Microsoft Access today? 🤔

I’ve been exploring MS Access recently for database and inventory management systems, and I’m wondering how widely it’s still being used in 2026.

For those currently using it:
• What do you mainly use it for?
• Is it still effective for your organization?
• Have you migrated to newer systems like Power Apps or SQL-based platforms?
• What are the advantages and limitations you’ve experienced?

Would love to hear your experiences and insights. Thanks!

New to Power Apps – Looking for Inventory Template Suggestions

I’m new to Microsoft Power Apps, so apologies in advance if this is a basic question. 😅

I wanted to ask if there’s a way to find ready-made inventory templates or sample apps created in Power Apps. I’m currently exploring it for inventory management and would love to learn from existing setups.

Hi everyone, can someone help me identify the possible reason for this issue?

I have a PDF file that opens normally on my local computer. However, once I place/upload the same file on our network server, it no longer opens and shows this error in Adobe Acrobat:

“There was an error opening this document. Access denied.”

Our storage server is accessible through the office network or via VPN when working remotely.

Possible things I’m thinking about:

  • File permission/restriction on the network folder
  • Server security settings or antivirus blocking the file
  • Read/write access issue
  • File path or mapped drive problem
  • Adobe protected mode/security settings
  • The file may be marked as blocked after transfer
  • Possible issue or restriction on the server itself

Is there a possible reason the server may have an issue causing the file to be inaccessible? Has anyone encountered this before? Any suggestions on what to check or fix would be appreciated.
